F#*k A Friend Zone

Rate this book
Rome and Heaven have been best friends since they were eight years old, and have been virtually inseparable. They never cross that line with each other, but when Cupid’s arrow struck them, things change drastically. Both in their separate relationships, their friendship gets tested when being so close to each other causes trouble. Heaven wants to be in a relationship with her man, Reese, but can’t deny the feelings she has for Rome.

He was struggling to find himself. Rome was fresh home from jail and determined to do something with his life. He’s putting everything on the line, and hoping that he could have his cake and eat it too. He doesn’t want to lose Heaven as a friend, but he also wants her to be happy. Temptations were getting to the both of them, and being in the Friend Zone is no longer an option for them.

Tune in to this epic Standalone, and find out if Heaven, and Rome can come out on top. Lies are told, secrets are revealed, and jealousy comes into the picture. Will Rome and Heaven say F#*K A Friend Zone or will the hood get the best of them.

A Hood story indeed

If you love a good, beginner level good story this is for you. While I enjoyed it being about a childhood friendship steeped in loyalty and true love, it was just overdone by naïveté and poor character development. The plot didn’t really get off the ground and the book seemed very one note. Things just seemed to happen out of nowhere with no further development of reasoning.

There’s so many typos and poor grammar that it made it painful to read. Plus the sense of time form one scene to the next was rarely consistent. Editors are essential and if someone edited this book then please do not use them on the next one! That is mainly the reason for my 2 star rating.

Really!! Highly disappointed.

This book was all over the place. It was truly hard to read. The flash back killed off characters that were not dead in the present story line. The first time Heaven and Rome met after Rome’s father died, 8 year old Heaven claimed that her father was dead also. Contradicting. Also when Rome was first introduced he mentioned his brother died in car accident but never mention him again. I will not be recommending this book to anyone. I’m almost afraid to read the second part.

Just WRONG!!!

I don’t even know where to begin. This book was so all over the place. The grammar had me thinking that my daughter wrote this in the 3rd grade. Then you have “Stand-Alone”, which means there isn’t a part 2. Real Hot Girl S@&t is CLEARLY part 2! 🤦🏽‍♀️ How do I know? That’s the book I started first (which also states that it is a “Stand-Alone”), By doing that, you can CLEARLY tell that you are missing out on A LOT, because it reads like you already know the characters. If you haven’t already guessed..... I didn’t finish either of them.

I am a fan of Jay The Writer. Although he has a distinct writing style that makes you say “yeah Jay wrote this” , it doesn’t take away from the story. I think I’m this book every But Rome and Heaven could see that they were meant to be together. So when they finally opened their eyes I was happy. Jazzy is that friend that is down for whatever and I am happy she opened up to Fatboy and got her happy ever after. Great read Jay!

Decent

It was an ok read. It had alot of grammar errors and using the wrong characters at the wrong time. Like if the name was meant to be Rome they said heaven on accident I just wish they would take more time to proof read and also events would happen and then it was like the author would narrate it as well, so things seemed repeated, but overall I get the concept and I love Rome and Heaven together

Rome and Heaven

It’s amazing how Rome and Heaven stayed friends that long. I think male and females can be neat friends but just like this they will eventually cross the line because they are always there for the other person. I think Jazzy was a good fit for Fatboy.

The book did have some grammatical errors but I guess as long as you were really reading it you could guess what and who was speaking

First of all, the grammatical mistakes were excessive. The story consisted of plenty of drama to keep you entertained but the development needed some work.

It was nice to see Rome and Heaven cherish their friendship that turned into a relationship. She was his true rider. Rome paid close attention to the things Heaven spoke when they were younger and was determined to carry out her wishes. Heaven had a true friend in Jazz.

Good read

I chose 3 stars because the editing but other then that it was a good book. I loved the storyline and the characters, this book made you believe that true love does exist. I just couldn't get past all the errors with the spelling, some words were used improperly. I will read more books by the author

Good Read

Even with all the errors this was a good story. I loved Rome and Heaven together and glad that they got their happy ending. I was glad this Fatboy was able to crack Jazzy’s shell and got her to believe in love again. Kat and Gotti got their karma and that was the icing on the cake.

Friend Zone...no spoilers or details

Umm. One of my favorite book/novel/story themes are from friends to lovers BUT this one wasn't the worst but far from the best. The end had some editing issues and it was just too much going on. I skipped quite a bit, just to finish it. Didn't hate it or like it was kinda ready to get it over with.

Good story line but bad writing

I can usually read a book in one to two days, but it took me forever to get through this. The book had a good story line but so much misspelled words and bad word combinations. So many phrases was recited over and over again. The writer needs to proof read or find a new editor to proof read.

Definition of true love finds a way!!

This best friends to lovers stand-alone was entertaining. Loved the characters and storyline. Heaven and Rome’s love was for the ages. The whole Gotti situation was a surprise I didn’t see coming. Poor Kat, wanted to be like Jazzy and was jealous of Heaven. Reese let the money lead to his losing everything. 4 stars due to the editing!!

There was some grammatical errors. Overall, this book was great! There was nothing that I didn’t like about this story. From beginning to the end- things flowed and Jay didn’t rush. However, next work I would need some suspense and foolery in the plot. What happened to Kat was something that was a surprise. But that’s about it.

🤔🤔🤔

The book was alright. A lot of grammatical errors. I have a couple questions. Why was the story rushed? And why didn't the hood look out for Rome as mentioned in the beginning? It was confusing to say the least

So many errors

I gave this two stars because I had to see what the storyline was going to be like. There were so many spelling errors! It was as if the book was written fast and using text to talk. Good storyline but I’d like to see an edit and proofreading

This was an interesting storyline but had a lot of grammatical errors which took away from the book. The storyline took awhile for me to get into it and understand what was going on. I’m glad everyone got a happy ending.

Sometimes friend zone is best

Friend zone... I usually reserve that spot for someone who I love but refuse to get with. Maybe I should reconsider. After reading this book, I just might!

Invest in an editor!!!

The word, and was extremely overused. There were so many errors that I got frustrated, read another book, then came back to finish this one. The story was great, but this was NOT ready for publication!

It was ok

It was an ok book . I couldn't finish it, it was too many errors in it. It had the potential to be good. I wish somebody should have proofread the book before releasing it. It was predictable but, it still had potential.

What happen

Well for one I love the book storyline and all, but I don’t think this book was proofread before publication. Some of story was not aligned with the situations or conversations that the characters were in.

Loved it

This book was off the chain. I knew Rome had it in him. He is a boss indeed. I loved Heaven and Rome's friendship. It is always better to be friends before lovers. I love that everything worked out in the end. They sure went through a lot. Great Read

The storyline was okay but the writing was terrible. Did anybody edit this? I could hardly navigate all of the grammatical errors.
