Ein ungewöhnlicher Löwe

Rate this book

An Unordinary Lion is the story of a lion who whilst hunting for prey hurts his leg and ends up observing all the other animals to see what they eat.

This is an interesting story that shows lion reflecting on his actions and trying to become a better lion. This is great for the children to see as it allows them to think about what they'd do or if they think lion is right or wrong. Seeing the animals each eating their foods is interesting for the children to see as it's not something we think about much but I feel like the book does insinuate that the lion should be eating vegan when in reality he is a lion. It makes it seem that children should be eating vegan too which is out of their control.

The illustrations are lovely and colourful and the children love seeing all of the animals on each page. It is nice to see how lion reacts to each of them and how this changes as we go through the book. This is a good story to get children thinking about what animals eat and being kind.

Once upon a time there was a scary lion.
1-day while out hunting the scary lion sprained his leg.
Days went by & it wasn’t getting any better.
How was he going to hunt for food?
Scary lion began to observe how other animals ate.
Field mouse, duck, elephant, zebra, antelope, cow, goose, & monkey.

How did Scary lion solve his eating problem?

I did not receive any type of compensation for reading & reviewing this book. While I receive free books from publishers & authors, I am under no obligation to write a positive review. Only an honest one.

A very awesome book cover, great colored pictures & proper font & writing style. A very well written children’s educational story book. It was very easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters to keep track of. This could also make another great children’s educational movie, a PP presentation, an animated cartoon or mini TV series. There is no doubt in my mind this is a very easy rating of 5 stars.
