Nipsey Hussle born Ermias Joseph Asghedom is often sited as a rapper and songwriter from Los Angeles, California but he was much more than that. Nipsey was a visionary, entrepreneur, community organizer, real estate investor, cryptocurrency enthusiast, activist, mentor, and so much more. Through his business moves, music, and community activism he was on a mission to teach his community about being fiscally responsible and owning your now and future in order to build wealth. On March 31, 2019, Nipsey was fatally shot outside his store, Marathon Clothing, and while it may have seemed that he died on that day, the truth is that Nipsey will live FOREVER! HussleNomics is a book dedicated to the legacy and teachings of Mr. Hussle with a step by step guide on how to implement each principle in your life. Nipsey often preached about the Marathon and as you know in a marathon the baton is often passed to the next runner to pick up where the other left off... HussleNomics is that baton! Long Live Nipsey Hussle! This is just the beginning!

I feel terrible bad-mouthing things publicly, but this book is extremely lackluster. It serves as both a weak "biography" for Nipsey Hussle as well as an extremely surface level business book. To me, the only person that I could see enjoying this book is someone who is a huge fan of Nip and has never read a business book and if that's not you, don't read this book. The main thing I got from this book was a few decent book recommendations. (There are also multiple typos throughout, which is a huge pet peeve of mine)
This was an easy, simple read. There was quite a bit of notes in the back of the book. It's a decent read for those at my job. One of the guys wanted to look at it after I was reading it. I completed it in two days, or two sittings.
In the reading, I like quite a few quotes, yet this one stands out the most. “Success to me is just being able to do what you love to do and support yourself all through.”
I heard Ash Cash on a podcast episode of Earn Your Leisure. He dropped so many gems so I knew his book would be informative. Reading this book cemented my knowledge of Nipsey Hussle's impact on the world. He seemed like a great man and I am glad that he was able to leave knowledge behind and have a positive effect on the community.
I found the book very informational and the way the author broke down these principles intertwined with Nipsey's lyrics was amazing. It was very inspiring to see everything compiled. The Marathon Continues.
