His Mighty Strength: Walk Daily in the Same Power That Raised Jesus from the Dead

Rate this book
With warmth and biblical insight, Frazee shows us how to

rely on the power of the Holy Spirit just as Jesus did;respond to God’s voice in decisions big and small;raise our expectations for how God’s power can work through us; andbreak free of addictions, habits, and destructive thoughts that hold us back. The Bible promises us more than inspiration. More than influence. The Bible promises us access to the same power that raised Jesus from the dead. So what keeps us from drawing on that incredible resurrection power in our daily lives?

In His Mighty Strength, popular pastor and author Randy Frazee explores Jesus’ time on earth to uncover the amazing source of his strength. Jesus continually sought direction from the Father and found the power to live the Father’s will through the Holy Spirit. He said yes to God every day of his earthly life—and we can too.

His Mighty Strength reminds us that Jesus’ resurrection power is not wishful thinking or a poetic metaphor. It’s a real source of strength that we have access to right now. And when we embrace God’s offering, our lives will never be the same.

“This is not a watered-down self-help book—this is a powerful Gospel-centered guide to walking in the fullness of Christ. I challenge you to read this amazing book and accept the glorious gift of strength from Christ that enables us to live the abundant life God has promised us!” —Francesca Battistelli, Grammy Award–winning singer-songwriter

Really really powerful. I went through this slowly and used it as one of my devotionals. Living in this world that is all about me me me, we forget the power of Christ. Less of me more of him brings with it “dynamite” power. One of his quotes is “don’t try harder, yield to God harder.”

This is a tremendous Biblically based book on how we too can walk in the power of the Holy Spirit everyday. It's one of those books that is highlighted much and needs to be read a few more times to allow its truth to linger and fill one's heart and mind.

The book is separated into 2 parts with 3 chapters in each. A few chapters but each very good and full of punch. Part 1 is titled, 'Emptied' signifying that Jesus when he came to earth was emptied of his divinity. He was still God but left his powers behind. We too need to be emptied so we can be filled.

Part 2 is titled, 'Aligned' and it works through showing us how Jesus lived and how we too should seek to live following his example and being empowered by the Holy Spirit.

What adds weight to the message is Frazee sharing his struggle of betrayal which resulted in a season of depression and how it was through re-engaging with the strength of the Holy Spirit that he was able to be healed and move onto a new chapter in his ministry life. Frazee's message is more readable as he vulnerably shares his struggles and steps through each aspect of his recovery and release in the relevant chapter.

Highly recommend.

I received an early ebook copy of the book from the publisher via NetGalley with no expectation of a favourable review.

Wonderful book. Terrific reminder! When we empty ourselves, we get our ego out of the way. We make room for the Holy Spirit to act in us. We align our will with the Larger Will. We become empowered to move forward. Challenges become easier and sometimes effortless. We are filled with Divine Wisdom from God who unconditionally loves us. I love the below quote as it serves as a great reminder as to what happens when we empty ourselves and align with God’s will. We become empowered!

“Any time we encounter a mountain that keeps us from moving forward and feels impossible to overcome, we need to remember that we have access to divine dynamite.”

I highly recommend this book to anyone struggling with depression or to anyone struggling to get out of a funk that was the result of an event that occurred such as a betrayal like the author experienced. Good read, great testimony.

If possible I would rate this book at 15 or 20 stars. It is by far one of the best books I have ever read. I love reading about Jesus, I love being reminded of what He did for me and anyone who would place their faith in Him. This book has totally fresh input on the life of Jesus, things I always wondered about. This is the first book I have read by this author and I will definitely read more by him. I highly recommend this book to anyone, especially if you are feeling lost, confused or depressed. This book will show you the way.

Great book on walking in the power of the Holy Spirit. I have always enjoyed Randy’s books because it feels like you are having a conversation with a friend. Maybe because I know him personally but he has a great way of writing that feels personal. His books are always theologically sound as well!!

Would recommend.
While the concepts of this book have been a game changer in my life, I experienced and learned of the same strength of the Holy Spirit through other means.
This book was a refreshing reminder of the power of God and would encourage others to read it. Especially if you are feeling lost in your faith.

Great book! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that it's heavy material and takes time to get through.
