Elizabeth Bennet is a cello player and Fitzwilliam Darcy is business partners with Charles Bingley. Darcy stays in Charles guest cottage when he is in town for business, but the space and the dog are Elizabeth's. They swap letters for months passing each other like ships in the night but growing to admire each other via their letters.
After they meet in person, they have to come to terms with Elizabeth's past and a nasty finance situation to find their happily ever after.
I really like how this author can work with real characters, and isn't afraid to explore their sexual life, without being vulgar. Who lived a modern romance will recognize some of the troubles of this D and E.
An engaging read, spiced with steamy encounters and laugh out loud moments.
Elizabeth was a cellist situated in California and Darcy a high-tech something🤷♀️ situated in London. He borrows her cottage, the guest house at Netherfield, while she is travelling. She leaves him a little note when he arrives and a series of notes and letters are exchanged. This developed their relationship in the most adorable way, by getting to know each other before they even laid eyes on each other...
Eventually, they do meet and the mush was fabulously well written and utterly romantic. The obstacles were not done with though...
