Amina soon realizes, she enjoys Maarku's control, just a bit too much.

The thinks yes while she says no...............but for how long

The Sheikha's Determined Prince is the first book of the new The Sheikhas of the Arabian Mountains Series by Erin Snihur. This series is all about the women and I am looking forward to reading about some powerful women who know how to use it for good.
This is the story of Amina and Maarku. All Amina wants to do is lead her country and convince her father's advisors that is more than capable of doing it. Prince Maarku is the brother of Sheikh of Aman and he wants to help his family build an alliance between their country of Aman and Kulaz, where Amina's is. So what is the oldest way to build an alliance..........have a marriage between the two families. Thus Amina and Maarku are put together with him thinking yes and her thinking no...........well maybe!
This story is fun and interesting with nice characters and some steamy sizzle.

Present and past tense is used which seems to be common issue in all of this authors novels. But the story is riveting. Once you pick up the book to read, you can’t put it down unless you finish it. Absolutely engaging as usual

Amina was a determined woman!

Amina became Sheikha of Kulaz after the death of her father but there was a dangerous man willing to kill to gain control of the country. Despite this, she was determined to rule in her own right and loved nothing more that to escape the palace and mingle with her people in disguise. Prince Maarku was sent by his brother to represent their country at her Corination and at the same time encourage a strengthening of their alliance. They meet in the bazzar during one of Amina's visits, neither one disclosing their true identity. Their attraction to each other blossomed in the ensuring days but when the scandal of their connection breaks Maarku is immediately whisked out the country. This was a consumming read about two lovers contrained by their birth, meeting in secret until exposed. Amina is a determined woman and she issues an ultimatum that Maarku gladly accepts. I admired Amina's determination to rule and bring Kulaz modern times at the same time giving into her own desires.

This is only a short story but as I enjoyed the Arabian Coast series i decided to give it a go and I was impressed

Both of the main characters are trying to prove how grown up and mature they have become. Sheikha Amina Aqila of Kulaz wants to prove that she is capable of ruling her country to do that she needs to convince her father's advisers who aren't listening to what her fathers wishes where. Maarku Majeed, Prince of Aman has recently reconciled with his family and what to prove his worth by forging an alliance by marriage to Kulaz. What neither expected was the intense attraction between them Will this marriage become more than political and will they get a HEA You will have to read top see

The Sheikha’s Amina Aquila of Kulaz doesn’t agree she needs a man to help her lead, but needs to convince her father’s advisors that she is a capable ruler.Prince Maarku has other ideas and she has difficulty resisting his charms. I recommend this novel which has an interesting plot, great characters, and steamy chemistry.

I loved the start of what I hope is a new series. Amina and Maarku worked so well together. The intrigue and backstabbing added to the storyline. My reason for dropping a star is that in some places I had to go back and reread the passage because it didn't make sense to me. I'm not sure that it wasn't my fault though. Definitely worth reading.
