At the dawn of the twenty-first century, when globalization processes has been a key factor to highlight the differences between regions, it is not possible to consider Mexico as a homogeneous whole. Hence the importance of regional studies that compared to the macro explanations require tipping look to local and regional phenomena about economic processes, political, social, cultural and even spatial issues.
