I picked up this book at the library to learn more about anatomy, and for the most part, it was helpful. Unfortunately, the book was pretty dry, so it wasn't exactly an exiting read. My eyes glazed over near the end of each section, where the book just rambled on about any and every disorder impacting each system of the body. Even worse, the book had quite a few typos in it. I can get past the spelling mistakes, but there were a handful of time when the typo led to factually incorrect information. (I recall one instance where the book said that a certain disorder was linked to mutations on the X chromosome, so males were more likely to pass it on to their male offspring.) On the plus side, this book has lots of nice illustrations, which I found to be helpful. So overall, this book was just fine. I learned some stuff, but I'm sure there are better, more interesting anatomy books out there.
