The accident that killed Brendan’s wife devastated his life. How will he raise his two young girls with the killer still in town?
Nestled in the hills of the Lake Michigan shoreline, the ranch overlooks open fields and rich oak, maple and beech tree groves. It has been owned by the Katzen family for generations. Once a working ranch producing cattle and milking cows, it has now turned into a therapy ranch for a multitude of special populations.
Summer has made its way to the ranch with a flurry of activity. The mid-summer harvest of vegetables and the slaughter of cattle is providing sustenance for the ranch and the residents of Little Bend. The ranch clinic is now open with nurse Nancy providing needed support services to clients and ranch staff.
Dr. Brendan Rosio is challenged by the release of his wife’s killer all the while supporting his two little girls through this tragic life event. Nancy’s support at the clinic keeps some normalcy moving forward during this challenging time. Will Nancy provide additional support in some other way?
A Time To Kill and A Time To Heal is the third book in the Living River Ranch contemporary Christian romance series. All books written in this series follow Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 “A Time For Everything” If you like a cleanly written romance series with fully developed characters that move through a series of books, you will love the A Time For Everything Series.
Another short and easy to read story about guilt, forgiveness, sadness, bitterness and other mixed feelings that just makes us few low. The one who carries the burden is the one who suffers the most and probably makes others suffer unnecessarily - all that is needed is to forgive and one should not imply that to forgive is to forget. People should concentrate on the positive and good things in life and let go of the all other misguiding feelings. Simple and good story. As a member of the author´s ARC team I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This was an inspirational and emotional story, at times. Brendan lost his wife, Catelyn, and his two daughters lost their mother. Now, the man responsible for her death is getting out of prison, after serving less than two years. Will the Living River Ranch family be able to heal Brendan and his daughters. I won’t leave any spoilers, but I will say that each installment to this series just keeps getting better. Grab your copy and see what had me tearing up.
I received an advanced reader copy of this book and this is my voluntary and honest review.
What’s a father to do? His explosive anger at the (now-free) drunk driver who killed his wife two years ago is leading to the emotional trauma in his two young daughters. Can therapy at the Living River Ranch help all of them?
Can he move past his trauma and anger to find love?
What is happening with our previous characters on the ranch? Are any of them finding true love?
I love this third book in the series and this author’s writing. I received the book as an ARC reader. This story is an excellent clean, read.
The pace of this story felt just right. Brendan has a lot on his plate emotionally, and it was lovely to see his boss and coworkers do what they do best and help out his family. The addition of a nurse at the ranch is just right, and it was fun meeting Nancy, and walking through some of the day-to-day of both doctor and his nurse! I am enjoying this series immensely! I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Great characters - Brendan's wife Catelyn died in a car accident. The other driver was driving drunk. Brendan was now raising his two young daughters as a single parent and he was so angry with the driver of the other car.
Brendan came to the ranch to work but also hoping to heal. He was concerned about his two daughters, though young in age, they were haven't a hard time without their Mom.
Brendan and the girls find healing and a way to live again.
I must admit, I wasn’t sure what to think when his book was meant to be dealing with a time to kill. However, the loss endured made for a good take on it and I was relieved with how this passage was dealt with. A good novelette with sorrow to be healed. I think this was my favorite book in the series so far.
I was gifted a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
I was given this book for free in exchange for an honest review. Wow! I don't know if I would handle things the same way if I were in Brendan's shoes. I might have been more angry and less willing to forgive. However, God can give us strength to forgive even someone who killed a dear loved one. Praise God! This was very well done! I can't wait for the next book!
What a wonderful read! This series gets better with each book. This story will touch your heart. It's a heartwarming story about forgiveness and it has two really sweet little girls that you will fall in love with. I received a complimentary copy of this book and was not required to write a review. All opinions expressed are my own.
Book three in this series is another fantastic story! It delves into the bitterness Brendan is holding in the accident that killed his wife. He realizes he needs to let it go for the sake of his young girls, but easier said than done. A wonderful quick read! I received an advance copy of this book and I voluntarily wrote an honest review.
Clean romance series with a continuing story about a therapy ranch. The ranch helps children, vets, and others. They even have animal therapy classes. That would be my favorite to try. I received a review copy from author in exchange for an honest review. Think it takes place out West? Would you believe it's in Michigan, it is.
This ranch knows how to heal people from all sorts of tragedies. A man loses his wife to a drunk driver. He and his two children moved to get away from the memories only to learn, the man who killed his wife, was released from jail and working and living, in the same town they just moved to. Now the staff at Living River Ranch really has to hope for some healing. I received this book as a gift in exchange for an honest review.
I enjoyed this short story on forgiveness, it talks about how hating someone can affect you and others. I recommend everyone read this story. The author gave me a copy of this book and this is my voluntary review.
These books are easy to read, inspirational, make you smile, and end too soon. All the characters are loveable. I really enjoy reading them. I recommend A Time to Kill and A Time to Heal by Everlee Whitman.
This is the third book in this series. It is Brendan and Nancy’s story. This book will help to understand forgiveness. No matter the situation there is always room for forgiveness
