** Cozy Short Stories Based in Fukuoka **

I picked this book up because I lived in Fukuoka, and worked in Yakuin where the cafe in this novel is set. The display said "泣かせる本" so of course I had to get it. Jump three years later and I finally got around to reading aaaand, it was alright.

It's similar to コーヒーが冷めないうちに in that each chapter is a short story focusing on someone going through something and the cafe is a common set piece in all stories. The story doesn't focus on the owner, Aya all that much, she's just a constant background character and confident to people.

As it's set in Fukuoka almost all the characters speak in Hakata-ben and talk about things in the area. (Fukuoka's a great city, by the way, well worth a visit and very easy to live in!)

Overall this book was good for what it was but nothing really happens, there's nothing magical about the shop, or particularly special. It's a cozy read.

But on the flip side I found myself getting bored towards the end and not caring about these random people and their problems, and I admit I dropped it before the last three chapters.

If you're looking for a cozy read and are interested in Fukuoka and Hakata-ben then this is the book for you!
