Two for the Road

Writer, critic and broadcaster, Frederic Raphael was educated at Charterhouse School and at St John's College, Cambridge. He has written several screenplays and fifteen novels. His The Glittering Prizes was one of the major British and American television successes of the 1970s.

Would've been nice if there had been some clearer way of noting the various time jumps (that was the main reason I took to reading this). Incidentally, all that stuff with the passport and so forth came off a bit shticky on paper; it's a tribute to the power of the two leads that it all played so naturally on the screen.
