Cytocorp Saga #2

Into the Burn

Rate this book
The refugees of Dome Six believed the outside world was a deathscape, but they were wrong. It’s worse than that.

Alone in a world they’ve never known, the survivors of Dome Six are desperate and aimless. Hunted by enemies seen and unseen, a deadly dilemma threatens to end their journey before it even begins.

In the shadow of Pacifica, largest of the Northern Cities, an alliance with a mysterious group called The Phage reveals how much has changed since the Dome Project began. Cytocorp’s iron grip on what remains of America seems unbreakable. Their twisted vision for the future, inevitable.

But a quiet revolution is already underway. Its enigmatic leader’s plan would break Cytocorp’s power and liberate the remaining Domes.

Joined by Novi, an exiled biomodder with intimate knowledge of Cytocorp’s terrifying new tech, their journey into the belly of the beast offers a chilling glimpse into the Company’s plans—and the impossible odds against them.

Into the Burn continues the high-stakes dystopian adventure begun in Dome Six. If you like nonstop action, scary biotech, and complex characters, you’ll love this second chapter of C.P. James’ breakout series, The Cytocorp Saga.

I write cinematic sci-fi of substance. What does that mean?

My love of writing came from reading, of course, but my love of story really came from movies. Expect smart characters and short chapters that move along at a cinematic pace. I like intricate, plausible stories that reward careful readers without alienating those who just want to kick back and escape this messed-up world for a while.

I currently have two series: Reassembly, a humorous space opera with six books, and a dystopian trilogy, The Cytocorp Saga. I expect to release the first book in a new sci-fi series sometime in mid 2026.

I currently live in Ecuador.

When I'm not writing page-devouring science fiction, you can find me thinking about it.

Just gets better and better

I had a hard time putting this book down. New characters along with characters from the first book and the story just keeps going. Your adrenaline will be in high gear as the adventure continues. This is not your ordinary dystopian sci-fi story.

EXCELLENT 2nd book in the series!

This book is so action packed that I can barely put it down. I cannot even predict what might happen. I seem to read for hours...just disappearing from reality! Can't wait to start book 3.

C.P. James did it again! The second book to this installment is just as good as the first, diving into more characters and tension. I really could see this potentially being a sci-fi series, especially with how such a clean new take it has. The ending has me wanting to read the third!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
