This outstanding Bible study course by legendary teacher E. W. Kenyon was written to lead Christians into a deeper walk with the Master. Profound scriptural truths are presented in a simple and easy-to-understand manner. As it takes you through the pages of the Bible, you will begin to see who you are in Christ, what He has done for you, and your standing before God the Father. An ideal study for both groups or individuals.
I classify this book as: "Heretical Material: For Research Only". Though his heresy is evident throughout, he reaches the peak of his heresy near the end. Here's a quote: "You see, on the cross He died spiritually, a partaker of sin - not of his own volition. God laid on His spirit our sin, and the moment He did that, Jesus's spirit became sin. Then His body became mortal. He died spiritually so His body could die physically." Kenyon asserts that Jesus was required to be born again. That is heresy.
Kenyon, Hagin, Copeland, Joyce Meyer, and many other false teachers hold this belief. But if Jesus died spiritually, He would cease to be God. If He required rebirth, He would change, and cease to be the God that changes not. Kenyon asserts that "the cross has no salvation in it" and "It was the place of failure." But Jesus said, "It is finished." He said this on the cross! Trust the finished work of Christ and not the false teaching of people who preach a different Jesus and a different Gospel!
Kenyon says in his last chapter: "When you received Eternal Life you received the very thing that makes Jesus what He is. You received of the Father His very Nature; so if you have received into your spirit that which makes God what He is, you are like Him." Hiw very close Kenyon gets to stating with Satan, "I will be like the Most High"! But he goes on: "Jesus and Paul spoke the Father's words. That is what made Jesus Omnipotent. The same Omnipotence is in the Pauline Revelation for us. You can say, "I am what He says I am." No, Kenyon, what made Jesus omnipotent was the fact that He was and is God! And YOU, Mr. Kenyon, are not even god with a little g!
Dear reader, avoid this nonsense. Unfortunately, it is alive and well in the mouths of all our Word of Faith and prosperity preachers. Stand against heresy and stand for the Word of God! By the way, Kenyon somehow gets Christ's substitutionary death correct in his writings but he misinterprets the goal of it to save lost and doomed sinners and instead believes it gives us the right to become little gods ourselves. He has a high view of Satan and man and a low view of God.
Powerful and insightful expositions of new creation realities. Hands down, one of the best books I've read and studied in the ministry. Each chapter is a sermon, full of truth and light. Every Christian should read this book.
