Better than the last one, at least there was a romance better Jai and Temple. I was lost at times with all the people running around. I did love the addition of the Knights to the Kings. Plus there was a bonus romance with a Knight.
King of Devon by bestselling author, Naleighna Kai, is book four of the nine book Kings of the Castle series penned by various female authors. Book one, Kings of the Castle is an introduction to all of the Kings, with emphasis on Vikkas Germaine. Books two through nine are standalones with no cliffhangers and can be read in any order, though I’m reading them in sequence.
Nine former students of Khalil Germaine, now Kings of The Castle, are recruited by their mentor to root out and eliminate the corruption that has infiltrated The Castle, initially a humanitarian endeavor. They vow to protect The Castle and each other from future attacks, while searching for the person or persons responsible for the attempted assassination of their mentor, Khalil and his son, Vikkas. Along the way they meet some extraordinary women. This is Jaidev “Jai” Maharaj’s story.
Jaidev “Jai” Maharaj is King of Devon, a fifteen block stretch on the North Side of Chicago known as Little India, which fits perfectly with his East Indian heritage. He’s a holistic medicine specialist and the owner/director of Chetan Healing Center, where his multi-pronged holistic approach to patient care has resulted in the successful recovery of comatose patients at a rate not seen in traditional medical facilities. The center has recently been through an epic failure. A comatose patient in the center, Temple Devaughn, is impregnated by an unknown abuser. Though it’s not wise for Jai to get involved with a patient from his facility in the midst of an abuse scandal, his admiration for Temple’s ability to adapt to her vastly different existence has transformed into a full-on attraction that he struggles with daily.
Temple Devaughn is violated and impregnated while she is a comatose patient in Chetan Healing Center. She goes into premature labor and awakens to find she’s been in a coma for a year and is now a mother. The first face she sees when she awakens is Jai’s and from that moment she is fixated on his care, concern and kindness. She hopes he can heal her heart as fully as he healed her body.
King of Devon continues the literary excellence of this series. Naleighna Kai introduced us to the world of The Castle and it’s new kings in book one, and now she takes us even deeper into that world in this fourth installment of the series. The story is primarily revealed through the alternating viewpoints of the main characters, Jai and Temple, with some timeline shifts, all nicely executed. The characters she’s created are vibrant, well-developed and have evolved to another level through self-discovery. The intense plot contains all the elements of well-conceived romantic suspense: intrigue, drama, love, betrayal and revenge.
I give King of Devon a resounding 5 out of 5 stars and recommend it to anyone who enjoys multicultural romantic suspense or well-written contemporary romance. There is some sexual content that may not be suitable for sensitive readers.
My thanks to Independent Publishers Group and NetGalley for the opportunity to read an advance copy of this book. However, the opinions expressed in this review are 100% mine and mine alone.

REVIEW: 4.25 stars--KING OF DEVON by Naleighna Kai is the fourth instalment in the multi-authored/multi-cultural KINGS OF THE CASTLE romantic suspense series focusing on nine ‘brothers’ from the streets of Chicago (Vikkas, Reno, Shaz, Jai, Daron, Kaleb, Grant, Dro and Dwayne) mentored and taught by the mysterious Khalil Germaine at the exclusive Macro International Magnet School in Chicago. This is King of Devon and holistic healer Jaidev ‘Jai’ Maharaj, and Temple Devaughn’s story line. KING OF DEVON can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty but I recommend reading KINGS OF THE CASTLE (Book one) for backstory.
NOTE: Due to the nature and content of the story line premise, there may be some triggers for more sensitive readers.
Told from several third person perspectives including Jai and Temple, following numerous intersecting pathways KING OF DEVON is a detailed and complex addition to the Kings of the Castle. Jai Maharaj owns and operates a nursing facility where it is discovered that one of his young comatose clients, Temple Devaughn, have become pregnant while under his care at the Chetan Healing Center. An investigation into the staff throws shade at all of Jaidev’s employees but none more so than the man himself. Meanwhile several people with connections to Temple, to the Center, to law enforcement, and with the Castle elite all have an axe to grind or are looking for a pay out at the end of the day. But the birth of Temple’s daughter India finds our hero taking full responsibility for the little child, a responsibility that will come with feelings and emotions for Temple, herself. What ensues is the investigation, research and revelations about the who, how, and why, as the betrayal, secrets, lies, and greed slowly bleed the life and power from more than one person hell-bent on destroying them all.
Temple Devaughn has survived not one, not twice but three times against the abusive powers of the people sworn to love and protect. Sexually abused as a child, then again while under the care of the Chetan Healing Center, our heroine is made stronger but that which did not kill her or destroy. Jaidev Maharaj knows to fall in love with Temple goes against everything he has sworn to protect but something about Temple calls to our hero, something he is unable to resist or defend. The $ex scenes are limited but passionate.
Meanwhile Vikkas Germaine prepares to marry the love of his life but family secrets threaten to throw everything into disarray. From his father’s secret past to betrayal and lies, Vikkas will come face to face with the siblings he has never known, siblings who remained hidden to protect them from the fall-out and collateral damage of numerous affairs, marriage, threats and greed.
There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and energetic secondary and supporting characters including all of the Kings of the Castle and their significant others, Khalil Germaine, and his son Vikkas, as well as the introduction of a new generation of Kings known as the Knights including Hiram Fosten and his girlfriend, Bureau investigator Marilyn Spears . We are introduced to Donald Amos, and Big Red, Temple’s mother Sharon Liscell, and Temple’s ex ‘fiance’ Curtis Burnside.
KING OF DEVON is a captivating, intricate, revealing and meticulous instalment in the Kings of the Castle series. The world building continues to expose a little more about Khalil Germaine, the man who mentored the nine boys from the streets of Chicago, a mentor whose own life was barely under control. The premise is intriguing, fast paced and engaging; the romance is seductive and intense.
OMG, the secrets just came exploding out in this book
If I could give this book ten stars I would. Naleighna Kai hit it out of the park. This book had me so mad at several of the characters, I wanted to strangle them. That is the mark of and excellent writer when they are able to get a visceral reaction out of their readers. This story had so much drama in it I was scratching my head to ask what will happen next. My emotions were just cycling from high to low. The audacity of some people to be so selfish and greedy. At least Temple/ Siobhan's older siblings Donnie and Ebbie had enough sense and love of their sister to get her out of her mother and stepfather's evil clutches, all for the sake of their greed of money. I can understand Temple's emotional state coming out of her coma to find out what happened to her. Jaidev and the Kings and Knights were all supportive of her and Jaidev Marharaj. But her mother Sharon Liscell, did not learn her lesson. She kept pushing and hooked up with another greedy person who cause even more harm. But in the end, evil gets their just desserts and pays for their misdeeds.
Even the Maharaj family had secrets popping off. Again greed and selfishness tries to rule the day. But Khalil Germaine knows how to play the long game and won, upsetting the ruling Maharaj family senior members. They got their just desserts too.
Even the nine Knights were not safe from the schemes of greedy selfish people. They had already paid for their sins and were doing a stellar job in getting their lives on track through Jai's Chetan Clinic. I just could not believe how the plot thickened for one of them to take the fall for what happened to Temple.
Poor Temple never felt like she was ever loved by anyone but her father and he was taken away from her. She had a rough life growing up and to have what happened to her took a lot from her. But when she opened her eyes for the first time after a year, the first person she saw was Jaidev Maharaj telling her everything would be alright, that he would take care of her. They fell in love with each other during their day to day interactions and taking car of India. They fought for and won their hard earned HEA.
This was a story that showed that God does not like ugly, and what you do and plot in the dark will come to the light and you will pay for your sins. I highly recommend this book. It was well written and executed.
I live in Chicago so I was intrigued and thrilled about a series centered various neighborhoods (known to me) in Chicago. All the books in the series sound very, very interesting and don't get me started on the lovely book covers--yum! yum! Though all the stories sound interesting, the synopsis that really grabbed my attention is this book -- Kind of Devon. I was thoroughly intrigued with this story of a coma patient that is impregnated while in a coma! Whodunit?!
This crime happened under the watch of Jaideev 'Jai' Maharaj (King of Devon) and he wants answers immediately. What he knows for certain that none of his employees are responsible for the crime and he puts the wheels in motion to prove it. His enemies attempt to thwart him but they have no idea thee power he wields.
The victim, Temple Devaughn has survived a horrible past only to be violated once again in the present. She doesn't need to look any further than her incubator/mother to know who is responsible. Her mother has always cared more about the money than she ever did about Temple.
The machinations, manipulations, and revelations are things to behold and I had to pick my jaw up off the ground quite a few times. The story is multi-layered and readers are easily able to keep up with the moving pieces of this chess game. I love the idea of this series and the idea of giving deserving men a second chance to get it right. The camaraderie among the men will touch your heart.
This series is while worth the time and minimal investment that gives readers much more than their money's worth. Now on to the next book in the series.
Three stars doesn't reflect how disappointed I was by this book, but I don't want people to think it was horrible by going lower. It wasn't for me. Unfortunately, that wasn't because I didn't like the subject or the genre or the characters; I am simply confounded that this is an award-winning author when the style of writing was so ... scattered and sloppy.
I get it. Some people like drama. They live for plot twists and pettiness. But when all of the messiness detracts from building the main story, constantly pulls more attention to the supporting characters, and creates implausible scenarios, it's bound to lose readers who like logical and well-crafted plots. Romantic suspense must be well-crafted and the pacing should keep the reader moving torward the ultimate unraveling of who did what and why while allowing the romance to develop.
This writer wasn't capable of doing that, just as she failed to handle the volume of characters in the introduction book. I thought it was because the scope was too large for book one, but that apparently isn't true. In The King of Devon, the author brings in totally unnecessary story lines and makes the scope far bigger than it needs to be. A specific sub-plot that would have been helpful in book one, was merely a very messy distraction that added nothing to the story line for Jai and Temple. That was Khalil's entire marriage fiasco revealed at Vikka's wedding, which was drama for no reason. The wedding couple was pushed to the periphery, along with the couple who are supposed to be the main characters of this story line so that we can get background information that doesn't even indirectly impacting our main couple. There was way too much going on in this book, so much that I spent the final 25% being angry.
Yet, Temple's background gets fragmented attention throughout the book and we don't get even a brief detailed glimpse of how she got out of her hellish childhood until the final 20 percent of the book. We're never told about the relationship between her parents, even though that's much more significant to her life journey and this story line than Khalil's secret. Then, the long-lost siblings who were instrumental in rescuing Temple are plopped into the picture for one scene. ONE SCENE. They don't have any conversations. They don't fill in any gaps about Temple's past, but a flashback is provided about the child-raping uncle so that we know how the siblings dealt with him before they're snatched back out of the story. I'm still trying to figure out how Temple's father is "missing" if he's an accomplished artist, well-known enough for the art school to recognize his work on sight. Anyway, the author moves on without these two characters contributing anything to Temple beyond hugs. At times, it feels like the author forgets that this is Temple's book, that she's the female main character.
As the book tries to wrap up the whole "comatose patient mysteriously impregnated and innocent men accused" part of the plot, everything seemed more and more rushed. All of the unethical investigation practices center on the woman Big Red instead of Donald Amos, who is supposedly the one trying to manipulate this situation to get Jai to relinquish his role at The Castle. Donald Amos is absent from the interactions. We don't know whether he had some link to what happened to Temple, is involved in something at The Castle that he doesn't want The Kings to discover, or was just being opportunistic because of his bias against the holistic medicine approach. But he did try unsuccessfully to get Jai to give up his position at The Castle, and then ... nothing. This is a huge missed opportunity to tie this book into the shady happenings at The Castle that the Kings have been discovering. Donald Amos is never made relevant as part of this story or The Castle, so what purpose does the discrediting if Jai's facility serve? If it was stated, it got lost in all the distracting messiness around Marilyn being with Hiram and Big Red being this unlikeable "ball buster" persona. Again, the author seems to struggle to remember who is relevant.
Then there's the whole fake fiance who actually was the rapist of the comatose woman with the assistance of a doctor at the facility he was also sleeping with. Ironically, we don't get that tidbit until the very end in one of those moments I can only assume was supposed to shock the reader into forgetting the lack of real suspense. Oh, and Curtis was the driver of the vehicle that caused the accident that put Temple in the coma in the first place? Why? No reason was even hinted at. Another shock to distact from substance, perhaps? Are we to speculate that it was because she wouldn't have sex with him? The entire scheme between fiance Curtis and psychopath mama Sharon makes absolutely no sense. Sharon didn't know Temple's new name or where she was until the accident. When the court gave her control over her daughter's finances and property, why would she give the Power of Attorney to Curtis? Not only did it make no sense whatsoever since she'd been trying to get control of that money since Temple was a little girl, but Sharon also couldn't have known Curtis before the accident if she didn't know where her daughter was. They formed this instant trust and diabolical plan? As for Curtis petitioning for custody, why was a baby the tool to Sharon getting control of the trust fund but then the judge at the end says that Curtis and Sharon had already depleted all of Temple's money? That's why the judge was giving Temple the million dollars that Sharon had put up for Curtis' bail. The more the author wrote, the more she muddled the story. THIS is why I started getting angry. Readers who enjoy suspense aren't usually happy with half-developed plots that are carelessly thrown together.
But let's backtrack for a moment. Temple was ten years old when her siblings rescued her from her mother's house. All of this story line is happening roughly 20 years later. At 30 years old, would Temple still have money in a trust and still have no idea of where it was coming from, how to reach her father who set it up, or contact with lawyers or accountants? Would she even be getting money from the trust in her new name (that no one from her past knew) and have bought the apartment and have money in the bank? It's obvious from the corny reunion between Temple and her father in the epilogue that there had been no contact of any kind in all those years. I can almost guarantee that no wealthy man who puts money into a trust fund for his daughter, who has that daughter disappear, and then who has payments going out of that trust fund is going to sit back until 20+ years later to be found by the new husband of the missing daughter. Even if she had only been getting her payments for a few years, he would have wanted to know it was truly the child who had disappeared. Besides, no lawyer or accountant is going to issue funds from a trust to someone who isn't the person intended to receive them, which is why that hateful mother was going to all those disgusting extremes to get control of the money from the time Temple was young.
There's so much about this book that didn't work for me that I can only be grateful that it was inexpensive. That's too bad because books two and thee of The Kings of The Castle series were great. With the King of Devon (and was Devon explained?) we still have no idea why Curtis caused the accident that put Temple in the coma or why he went along with Sharon's scheme and raped his comatose girlfriend. If all Temple had was an apartment and an amount of money they blew through in a year, how was that enough incentive for what he did?
Plus, we could have skipped most of the other drama. Marilyn's ex-husband and her irrelevant children added absolutely nothing to the story. Khalil's backstory didn't belong in this book. Many of the details about Temple's life were inconsistent or illogical. Even the legal references didn't seem well-searched, starting with the social worker's comments about her role that doesn't usually happen in a "private adoption" and moving on to how trust funds and investigations work. This writer doesn't measure up for me, unfortunately. That's mostly because it seriously irks me when writers are so sloppy. And, I'm tired of folks being conned into buying sub-par books because they only see ratings of 4 and 5 stars. THIS book is not what the blurb portrays, even though it might be completely enjoyable for some readers.
Honestly, I wasn't going to read any of these books after the confusing introduction, Kings of The Castle. But J.L. Campbell usually writes wonderful books and I wanted to support her. I bought the 3rd book (by Campbell) and it was so wonderfully written that it made me excited to read more about these men. So, I bought the second book and breathed a huge sigh of relief that this might be a great series after all. Now, I think I will just skim over the list of authors and only purchase the ones I'm familiar with.
Not every writing style clicks with every person, so my opinion is just that ... my own view. It's really not enjoyable for me to read books where the author puts up a blurb that sounds like romantic suspense but maybe the author didn't study the genre enough to be able to weave the right type of plot. A good romantic suspense plot is what I was looking for. While each book was supposed to stand on its own, the whole series is supposed to be about figuring out who tried to assassinate Khalil, uncovering the nefarious activities that taint the purpose of The Castle, and watching these men develop romances along the way. It only works if it's done well. This book fell short.

King of Devon is the 4th installment of the Kings of the Castle series. All I can say is...Whew!!!!! Talk about spilling the tea!!!!!
After reading, they'll be no doubt that Khalil Germaine Maharaj is a boss. I loved how he strategically played the families with each moved they made to handle him was like a checkmate.
They tried to cut him out of any rights he had to the Maharaj fortunes...Checkmate.
They tried pushing a larger wedge between his family by shaming him in front of everyone...Checkmate.
At Vikkas' wedding, they publicly announce that he fathered a son that he didn't raise...Checkmate.
They accused him of infidelity, but the proof was in the pudding...Checkmate.
The elders went to great lengths to break this man and keeping his kids from knowing the truth about their parentage. They didn't anticipate him knowing that his daughter switched at birth and given to the placeholder wife. They thought to strip him and his children of being Maharaj heirs, but he ended up with everything and even taking the wealth they thought they had. My goodness does greed and jealousy have no bounds? They even forbade this man to use his birth name "Maharaj"
Oh, and just when you thought the teapot cooled off, we get the skinny on who was responsible for impregnated Temple while lying in a coma at the medical facility run by Jai. She came out of the coma while delivering a baby she had not participated in conceiving.
Again, does greed, deceit, evilness, and hatred have no bounds?
There were many things to like about this one; Jai is all his seriousness and complexity that he found a purpose and reason to love. The Kings and all of their strengths and knowledge base keep each other grounded and safe. The secrets revealed. The author let us celebrate Temple's closure and reuniting with the family that cared for her.
If you like suspense, romance, and happy endings, you will enjoy this one.
After having a bad week of DNF's, I decided to go back and read some older books, especially those part of series or authors I had previously enjoyed. Scrolling through my kindle, I came across another book which is part of the Kings of the Castle series - each book besides the first can be read as a standalone which means if you are like me and read series out of order it's alright. In King of Devon, we meet Jai who for years has thought that he and Vikkas who is also part of the Castle could pass for brothers and turns out they really are half-brothers and that the web of family secrets runs very deep between each of the brothers' families. I have been looking forward to reading this book as we had hinted in the other books of the series about Jai's story. Each of the Kings in their brotherhood has a specialty that they bring to the table and Jai's is the art of healing and second chances. He owns a holistic wellness hospital and hires felons with one twist - each of the felons hasn't committed crimes relating to children or partner domestic abuse or crimes against women. One of his clients ended up pregnant while in a coma and now his men and clinic are in the spotlight. Can Jai get to the truth of what happened and in return he will also provide for Temple DeVaughn and the baby India. While getting to the truth though Jai will encounter dirty politics, blackmail, and evil family members the bright spot is that he may also finally get his own HEA and an instant family to love and care for.
When a coma patient becomes pregnant under mysterious circumstances, Jai’s medical facility and employees come under intense government, media, and law enforcement scrutiny. During the investigation, he receives a call summoning him to The Castle following an attempt on his mentor’s life. Soon, Jai is thrust into a position and a brotherhood that will require more of him than he’s prepared to give. With it, a dark family secret explodes that has the potential to destroy the people he loves most. Temple Devaughn survives a horrific ordeal that lands her in a year-long coma. She finally awakens, only to find she now has a child. The police are investigating the men who cared for her at a medical center, one that employs “controversial” but highly successful methods. Yet, she has no choice but to trust Jai after she learns the lengths her family has gone to get their hands on a fortune they’ve kept hidden all this time. Complications arise, and Jai is forced to step in to protect Temple from the revenge-seeking perpetrator while showing that he can guard her heart as well. This was a pretty good book. I really liked both characters. I got really vested into the plot. This is the second book in this series I’ve read and so far I’m loving it! My only dislike is the sensitive subject of what’s happened to Temple. I don’t like reading about this subject matter, but **I voluntarily read and reviewed this book
The deeper we get into the lives of these kings the.more the skeletons start to drop from the closet. The writer gives.a.excellent showing of this new discovered love and freedom to the one you love. The women that the men have met and fallen in.love with are followed by some kind of trouble, but let me.tell you they have it all in check! I love how the matters that are being portrayed in this story and the previous ones are being handled. The writer not only gives us the ugly truth that can happen but you are also getting all kinds of lessons. This is not only good writing but this is just really good storytelling. Once again come into the castle and fight the good fight with the Kings and now their Knights.

Jai is a holistic medical professional who cares deeply for his patients and the legacy he's building. When one of his coma patients becomes pregnant, all he's built is under threat.
As he cares for Temple and investigates her situation, he falls in love but she has been through untold trauma and guards her heart. Family matters and legal issues conspire to keep Jai and Temple apart, but love will always find a way.
King of Devon is a solid read that comes with action, adventure, humor, and a cast of not-to-be-forgotten characters.
I absolutely loved this book and the series, so far! This series is also an introduction for me into this author’s writings! She is awesome! Talk about drama! Man, it’s throughout the entire book! You have a coma patient who becomes pregnant while under said coma; there’s horrible child abuse, lies, deceit and greed to its highest level! I loved Jai and Temple! This book is just so darn amazing!! Kudos, Naleighna!! 💜
You really pull for Temple and Jai. Their childhoods sucked. But the Kings fall asleep on the job for months, failing to take the most basic legal steps to help this poor woman out, just to add a little extra to the ending? Seems stupid of smart men who help the downtrodden. And very little is said about her life between the abuse and the coma. Some more details would have been nice.
I like this series; however, it truly annoys me with the damsel in distress theme. There is an attempt to make all the characters seem like strong willed people until it comes to the opposite sex who is in trouble. I find it hilarious that a knight has a straight up queen who did not need to be saved lol. Everyone else either the exception of Zuri does not seem like an equal, but someone who needed to be fixed. I think that is lame especially because the mission they seek to fulfill is powerful and I wish it was real.
I enjoy reading about strong men. Especially with different ethnicity, race and cultures. It was very delightful reading how men are suppose to behave and standing up and actually doing it. Great job Ms.Kai. Truly appreciated learning of another point of view on the culture.
I enjoyed every page of this book. This is the first book I read in the King series and intend to read more wonderful stories. After reading King of Devon, I have a greater appreciation for human dignity and resiliency as displayed by the characters. Naleighna Kai does a beautiful job bringing her characters to life.
Finally we got what was really going on in the Castle. So many secrets happening and truths finally being revealed. Although Jai was a bit slow I liked his character. I also loved that he stepped in to take baby India in like she was his own. I thought this author did a good job in this book. Look forward to reading the other King books. Also I’m was happy to see Khalil appear in this book.
The Kings are almost over for me, one more besides this one..I have to say that this one was probably one of my favorites. You will go thru a whole series of emotions with this one, I mean a whole lot. The people that are supposed to care for you the most will be the one that actually lets you down, or more so the character here. Her parents were absolutely horrible, but luckily for her , her older siblings cared enough or actually loved enough to intercede, and why were things so horrible for her, money the root of all evil..Grab a copy and enjoy!
rcvd an ARC at no cost to author..(netgalley) voluntarily reviewed with my own thoughts and opoinions.
Wow. I couldn't believe that a mother would subject her child to this kind of trauma just for money. Unbelievable. Jai and Temple love was so beautiful. Jai would do anything to protect her and India.
This was a nice read. In each series that I've read so far each one of the Kings have found love. This time it was Jai and Temple. A long secret is revealed and poor Temple finally finds the love that she so deserves.
I have been slow in finishing this book, but not because of the book. This book is all kinds of fire. That bungle jump scene was hilarious. I loved it .
Although this book is part of a series, the only one that you will need to read first is called Kings of the Castle, which is a book by several authors and it gives the premise to the entire series, as well as some background information. I have to say this book just might be my favorite of the entire series. This story had so many twists and turns, I was shocked after every single page. The author draws you in and holds your interest throughout the story. There is mystery and by the end of the story, I was floored. And it's always nice to see characters from previous stories. The author did a great job capturing my attention and it was just a great story to read.
I received a copy of this book for an honest review from the publisher and Netgalley. All Thoughts and opinions are my own.
Like I said in my last review these books keep getting better and better. The details of the Kingdom is such a web it is impressive how all of these books are not written by one author.
This is story of Temple and Jai Jai runs a very successful holistic medicine center that has proven to be extremely successful in bringing coma patients back and not allowing them to die. The big pharmaceutical companies would do anything to get him shut down so they can continue to pedal drugs out to doctors. Temple is a coma patient at Jai's center who mysteriously becomes pregnant while she in a coma. This raises huge red flags about the individuals that Jai has hired to help out in his center.
As Temple is giving birth she finally wakes up and the first face she see's is the caring one of Jai who tells her everything is going to be okay. She takes a while to bond with the baby and Jai even offers to adopt her since he fell for little India right away. Sandy, who is Jai's house manager, is probably my favorite character of the whole book. When she talks about going to get Roscoe I laughed until I cried.
This is the first book where the Knights of the Castle get introduced and I think the new grouping is a fit with the Kings. Near the end of the story there is a line about being there for each other through the good times and the bad and I think all of these books has truly displayed this sound advice.
Thank you to netgalley, Naleighna Kai and Macro Publishing Group for allowing me to read this book in exchange for my honest review.

The more I read about the Kings Of The Castle the more information I gather to try to solve who attempted to murder Khalil Germaine. Jai is apart of a brotherhood of 9 men that Khalil brought together with good intentions to some day run the Castle. These guys are awesome.
Jai runs a faculty where he uses not so traditional mentions to help his patients. Jai is under investigation along with the men who are former prisoners with misdemeanor charges against them. One of the patients under Jai cares Temple Devaughn age 10 who as a child suffered at the hands of mother, stepfather and step uncle and her two siblings were instrumental in helping Temple escape. Temple is leading a good life when she meets Curtis who is wolf in sheeps clothing. He and Temple are engaged and Curtis wants to sample the honey before marriage and Temple wants no parts of it. Temple calls off the engagement and Curtis is unset, Temple takes off in her car and is a accident that leaves her in a coma for over a year and during that time Temple becomes pregnant and the Jai is under investigation about how could something like this happen at his facility. While Jai is investigating Temple's pregnancy he founds out some very interesting information about the pregnancy, the Castle and its adversaries and information about about his relationship with Khalil, Vikkas and Mira. Oh how these books are continually to get better and better. If you have not read any of the "Kings Of The Castle" you don't know what you're missing. No to book # 5 King of Morgan Park "Daron and Cameron".
WOW what a page turner. This book was full of drama. I enjoyed it being unfold. My heart ached for Temple she went through a lot. Her mother was a trip. I love the concept of what Jai had setup as a business. Most of all I love how the Kings stuck together. This book has some great history lessons in it also.
