This book shines a light on popular development methods with depth and clarity. It is genuinely illuminating, providing a wide range of ideas and perspectives. it maintained a strong hold on my interest, but there were occasional moments where it could have delved even further to provide a fuller understanding, probably through more historical context. Nevertheless, it's a commendable read for anyone intrigued by this subject, especially beginners

Methods is a Useful tool and resource, but man oh man is it dense and technical. I would advise having this as a reference book for particular community research issues, rather than trying reading it straight through.
