Peter Withe on the one-hand is a classic journey man footballer, however to stop there would insult a great! Peter was a robust footballing warrior. Wherever he went he would find himself having a positive effect on everyone around him.
This autobiography covers just about every detail of his life in football. He is also a man that appears to have 'appreciated' the love of his loyal wife from a very early age. Peter clearly lives for football and his family.
His varied experience of playing football both in England and across the seas, makes his footballing a life a classy goal. It is very easy to forget that this reliable 'tank' of a striker won England caps far too late in his career. Also, two English League Championship medals with two different Midlands clubs (Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa) as well as tapping in the most important goal in the history of Aston Villa; the winning goal against Bayern Munich in the 1982 European Cup Final.

It is a really good book in which if you love football you should go right in and start reading! it is the biography of Peter Withe who is a retired soccer player from England. In the book, it shows how soccer was back then in the 1960s to ’80s and how his journey was. He won many trophies including the Champions League. The book also shows how he worked hard for his dream as a young boy.
I would recommend this book for anyone that plays soccer because if you read it you can make many connections to yourself in the book. For example, in the book, it says “it is every young footballer’s dream to win the champions league.”
So what are you waiting for? If you have time, dive in. You will gain lots of soccer knowledge and inspiration. Who knows what your next step in life could be after reading this book?

I liked it. Even the bits about Thailand when he was old.
