Two of ShudderCon’s most esteemed guests know how to woo their fans… but can they woo each other?
Drake Rothchild and Leilah Singh have starred on the supernatural TV show “The Devil’s Daughter” long enough to gain attention. Yet what their biggest fans don’t know is that one of cable TV’s hottest on-screen couples want absolutely nothing to do with each other in real life!
Leilah sees her kitschy show as a mere stepping stone. The bridge between her classical Indian dance career and becoming the next Bollywood beauty to take Tinsel Town by storm. But balancing her personal life with her professional means keeping certain secrets deep in her heart – such as her bisexual identity that could upset some of her more traditional fans.
Drake, on the other hand, is out and proud to the point that she puts a damper on Leilah’s image. Coupled with a frothing fanbase that insists on “shipping” them together, the tensions between Leilah and Drake come to a head at ShudderCon. To top it all off? They have to share a suite!
Yet there’s something that neither of them will admit.
They’ve got the hots for each other. Even Drake, who lost her marriage to the stress of her job. Even Leilah, who will do anything to keep her truth from the world.
When they get to Las Vegas, sparks will fly. And if things catch fire, they’ll be found in the stairwell… fanning their own flames!
Crowds, cosplay… chemistry - it’s all happening for these lucky ladies. Six lesbian romance authors have teamed up to bring you love: convention style in the brand new ShudderCon series.
The House by Lily Craig The Payoff by Sienna Waters The Show by Hildred Billings The Bluff by Kate McLay The Shark by Cara Malone The Longshot by Anna Cove
Hildred Billings is a Japanese and Religious Studies graduate who has spent her entire life knowing she would write for a living someday. She has lived in Japan multiple times in multiple locations, from the heights of the Japanese alps to the hectic Tokyo suburbs, with a life in Shikoku somewhere in there too.
Currently, Hildred lives in Oregon with her partner and two cats. When she's not commandeering the corner of the neighborhood coffee shop on hours on end (it's okay, she's on a first-name basis with the baristas) she's probably parked on the couch watching Bob's Burgers or screaming at a Zelda game. (Seriously, Link, why don't you move right?)
The third in the series - Good premise, but again would have been better with longer run in, this series seems too restricted by the criteria that has been dictated. (All action over one weekend.) But worth a read.
I had high hopes for this book. I’ve read the first 2 and they were both good but I don’t know what happened here. I was enjoying #3 all the way until the end just left me hanging and confused. After pages and pages of angst ridden drama, the two main characters fly away happily into the sunset and then WHAM, the book ends literally with the dialogue of of the book description! Not only does it make no sense, it’s as if the book contains a HUGE error!
Drake and Leilah attend ShudderCon to give their fans some face-to-face time. They've starred on hot show together for three years and have developed a love\hate relationship. Certain circumstances make it to where they must spend nearly all of their time together which allows them to begin to understand one another. Their crazy fans play a part in putting them in situations to acknowledge feelings they were both afraid to admit. A night of freedom causes the two to make some rash decisions. Will they listen to another nosy and interested bystander that only wants to help them. Or will these two headstrong beauties allow the past and fear to dictate their future? I loved how in depth Hildred explained the sexuality issue and the race in acting issue. Loved it!
Two B-listed actresses show ShudderCon fans how to live.
The author has created one more enticing story to keep her readers fans involved in reading a good story. Two actresses, one in the closet and the other one out and who doesn't care who knows. Struggling to keep herself in the closet almost destroys any chance to prove the rumours were true. Enjoy! Not everything remains in Vegas!
Good Story about two different women who work together on a show .One a out lesbian the other a closeted bisexual who cannot stand each other. Whose managers make them go to Shudder Convention in Vegas. There fans have told stories about them being in love and it ruined one of their marriage and her co-star was blamed. Now the story is a good and worth a read. Recommend you give it a go. Author Hildred Billings did a good job writing this.
Ms. Billings has written better than this book. It was just okay and not memorable. Almost boring. I did enjoy the Argentina advice, again by Rose and the Cameo of Jacqueline. The HEA was unexpected but then most books have happy endings but this was suddenly. Maybe rushed?
