Triggered: His Love Was My Sanctuary
When love goes left, Haelo Christensen packs her bags and leaves Dallas to head right back home to Atlanta. Now surrounding herself with family & friends, she decides to live her best life and rejects even the idea of ever falling in love again. However, feelings for an old best friend begins to surface leaving Haelo second guessing her future.
Haelo has been in love with Legend Giovanni since the age of 14 and everybody knows it, but him. Legend is dealing with issues of being in a loveless relationship with his girlfriend Vanessa. Ironically, he knows that she’s not the one, but he has no intentions of starting over. However, when Haelo returns to town he is soon reminded of what’s missing in his life. When an opportunity knocks, he immediately opens the door to a new relationship with Haelo. Sensational
This book here took me through so many changes bruh. I wanted to jump in and tag Van & Legend stupid behinds. Van because she knew what she was doing. It was a setup. Legend because be knew how Haelo felt. He knew her and Van felt about each other and still did what he did. Knowing what she went through. Then on top of it instead of being a man about your ish you wanna treat her like crap. Like she did something to you reallly? Where we do that at?Now as for Heaven and Lorenzo! I don’t blame Heaven one ounce for treating Lorenzo how she did. By the end of the book I wanted Both Of the to move on and find someone new. Because clearly these Giovanni Brothers are not it. The jury is still out on Legacy. I understand his loyalty to his brother I do. But he also had a loyalty to LoLo. Sensational job. Got me all upset and my nerves bad.

Ok read
I don't know how to feel about this book. This is my first time reading a book by this author and I don't know how I feel. I thought this would be a story that would be different from others. To say I was given about the same thing like all the others. I thought Legend would have been done with Van, but I see he's like the other average guy. Also I thought Haelo & Legend were both childish at times. I saw where drama was going to happen like other books. Overall since there is no half rating I gave this book 3.5. And star rating has to be 4 on scale.

Loved the book. I was finally glad that both legend and Haelo were able to get things right, however at times Haelo was also pissing me off with her selfishness. Although she and Legend both still had some growing up to do I felt that she was wrong for keeping Xavier a secret until she had no other option, but to go back home for Legend to find out that he in fact has a son. Heaven was another story and needed to sit her behind down because she was always in other people's business and had her own issues. I loved Legacy who seemed to always be the mediator. All in all this last book was good.

Well Heaven and Lorenzo had been going strong the past 10yrs but she’s done with the lies, cheating and the hush favors. Haelo has loved Legend since she was 14 but that’s about to change. Haelo left Dallas and Jaeden after soo much cheating. She trusts Legend and she’s working with her other bff Legacy as his assistant . Legends story
I was so upset with Legend and the way he treated and played with LoLo's heart. Lorenzo finally got his act right with him and Heaven. Haelo had some heavy emotional baggage, and despite how much she tried to get over her first love, he refused to just let her be great without him.

Worth the read. You definitely could have stretched this out to a 4th book because it was definitely more to the story. I would like to know more on Legacy and Deja as well as what was up with Harlow and Drea . overall this was a great book

Haelo seem like she had it together, I loved how she handled the pregnant chick approaching her about her man, that nigga been doing dirt for the longest smh glad she finally got the courage to leave Texas & go home to Atlanta. She shouldn’t have been putting up wit that bs in the first place. Now those Damn Giavonnis brothers are something else especially Lorenzo who was just selfish and idiotic. Legacy & Legend were more level headed. I just knew the moment lo & legend took their friendship to another level it would end in a disaster , there were too much unexplored feelings there. Legend should’ve known something was up when Van told him he was covered for condoms already after to told her to stop at the gas station smh she was being sneaky from the rip, like all of a sudden you want to partake in a 3sum & you swallowing cum? Shawty was proving she was up to no good & he fell for it. Legend ruin years of friendship for nothing & to make matters worst he jeopardized Legacy’s friendship with Haelo as well by cheating smh she didn’t deserve that & he knew better.... pt2 hurry up 😅

I need part two ASAP
Man I'm already a cry baby and this ending just broke my heart. Lorenzo was an asshole from the beginning so I didn't expect much from him. He did Heaven like a dog and I was happy when she finally let him know that he was done. Legend I thought was different. Not only was Haelo his girlfriend but they had been best friends for years and he knew all her struggles. If an argument over her being optimistic when he's stressing cause him to do her like that, then he really ain't shit and I just kick him off my pedestal. I'm sorry she put Legacy in the middle when he said he wasn't gonna be in it and he kept trying to warn them both. I know depression can be a dangerous emotion and I hope they get her some help before it's to late. I hope guilt eats Legend's soul inside out because this is on him. I loved every minute of this book and I can't wait for part two.💗💘

Genesis is such a talented author and I just love her writing style and story concepts. Everything she's written that I've read I fell in love with. This was an outstanding series. I was happy with the outcome and even tho Legend was on my shit list he more than made up for it by finally loving Haelo like he should have in the beginning. I was disappointed in her for a minute and I'm surprised Legend didn't back hand her one good time.He was doing petty shit tho and listening to his hoe ass girlfriend Ashley. She should have at least got one ass whooping . My heart broke for Heaven. She was hurting and didn't know how to handle it so she turned to drugs to ease her pain and almost lost her life. Lorenzo kinda pissed me off how he was treating her but I'm glad they finally worked it out. This was an outstanding series and I can't wait to see what's next.❤❤

I glad Heaven out her foot down about being with Lorenzo. He was taking advantage of her kindness and kept expecting her to accept him cheating. Hopefully, he can truly get it together and they can work it out. I really thought Legend was a stand up guy for Haelo, but he did her dirty. I just think she should be mad with Legacy. He told them both he didn't want to caught up in the middle if they didn't work out. I hate that Haelo thought what she did at the end was best decision. I hope she makes it. I can't wait for part 2 to come out to find out what happens next.

I absolutely LOVED this book. I can not BELIEVE Legend!!! My hopes were HIGH for him and he disappointed me!!! I expected it, kind of, but then I didn't expect it.
He broke my heard.
And the eldest brother, who's name I've forgotten of course, ooooooo he pissed me off! Like - dude, grow up already. Heaven deserves better than that. The ONLY one that seems to have ANY SENSE is Legacy.

That ending!
This was a good book. I feel for Haelo; she dealt with Jaden and his foolishness only to repeat the same cycle with her best friend. I hope that she is okay!! Love can be painful. Haelo seemed like a strong person throughout the book there’s only so much one can take. I kind of feel like Vanessa isn’t pregnant by Legend but I guess we will see. I actually was holding that Haelo and Legacy would be a thing. Now, Heaven and Lorenzo—I actually like them lol. Good read!! Can’t wait for part 2!

Always when you make a choice of this writer's work, you better know you are going on one heck of a trip. This story was so good, we get to see friends try and navigate life. I love that they have been friends for like forever. The writer paints a really good picture of the mood and the attitudes. The characters all have great chemistry you feel as if you know them. This was really good writing and the character development was good as well. So looking forward to the next installment.

What a conclusion
Legend came through this time. Haelo needed him for their child and he made the right decision to step up, to stop acting like a dip sh*t and do what was best for his son. Heaven was so far in over her head, I prayed Lorenzo would see the real issue. Lorenzo behaved like he was a new found Saint, when his actions in the past, yes I'm calling him out, because he should have given his wife a triple pass. Overall, the story was cool. Did I miss Legacy's story?

My heart is all the way in my chest for Haelo. First the betrayal from Jaden. Legend really messed up. Heaven is trying to be strong for her baby and finally has had enough with Renzo. Van is a manipulative something and Legend is a fool. I really need part 2 right now! Man!

My heart goes out to Haelo. Its time for her to boss up and get on the right track. She don't need a man especially if he's doing more harm than good. A man will only do to you what you allow. Lorenzo needs some act right. I love the friendship between Legacy and Haelo. Who will find happiness.

This book was Amazing!!
This story was amazing!! This story really had my emotions all over the place. I really liked how the story showed that how two families bonded and it is ok to have a best friend of the opposite sex and never have to worry about him wanting to be with you or must over you. But the ending messed me up and I can't wait to read Part 2!
