This lil pamphlet of a book has some gosh dang good nuggets.

“I pray that the Holy Spirit will cause us to realize that there is no higher place in Heaven than at the feet of Jesus.”

“He wants you to stand before God as Him because He stood before God as you.”

“As long as you are great He cannot be.”

I know good practice is to only highlight one thing on each page of a book but I practically highlighted the whole thing. Challenging, inspiring, humbling, and tender…I will return to this book a million times over.

I could say so so many things about this book. Truly amazing!! But the best part was truly just sitting on each page and drawing close to the Lord.

another little Eric Gilmour booklet, this one is about what it means to surrender at Jesus’ feet.

Favorite quote: “As Long as you are great, He cannot be” basically exploring this idea that we need to surrender our every fiber to God and His will for our life. Recognize that He is Lord of all!

“Sheep are free from burden and concern to make sure they are going the right way because they look at Him who is ‘The Way.’”

I have no words for how incredible this small little book is! I read it while I was on a mission trip to the Czech Republic and keep revisiting it! Another little book that just prompts the heart to a posture of love and trust leading to surrender in the Lord

As someone who once struggled (and honestly still struggles sometimes) with the “oh I gotta make sure I’m doing this the ‘right way’ and make sure I’m walking exactly how the Lord wants me to” mentality
this book was incredibly soothing for my soul… not that there is any less conviction to walk in the way of the Lord but that there is more peace in it!

"Here we set our love upon Him in heart-melting attentive adoration. So let us bow low and lower still, for there is none higher or more deserving of perpetual prostration."

I am blown away by this little book, an invitation to come to the feet of Jesus with everything. Eric Gilmour is highly intelligent, and his love and adoration for Christ is not only encouraging but this love bounds off of the page and penetrates the heart & soul. I highly recommend reading if you are in a season of doubt, worry, or anxious thoughts!

Short and sweet

“While other men fight to wear the crown of ruling their own lives, we who come to His feet let Jesus wear the crown.
Much of our disappointments and frustrations are that deep wrestling to wear the crown ourselves.”

Oh but our hearts! We have this to give.”

This is basically an essay rather than a book, didn’t take long to read at all but was very poetic in explaining the picture of Psalm 95:6-7
