About the author

De'Kari

De'Kari is a promising author whose work is nothing short of amazing. De’Kari’s work provides readers with an authentic glimpse into street life. He currently writes urban fiction but plans to cross over to other genres.

The author was born and raised in Northern California. The author experienced a challenging childhood. Riddled with abuse, neglect and witnessing violence first-hand. His early years were dark and pained due to the dysfunction that surrounded him. He was often uprooted and moved from place to place. After various placements with relatives, he found himself in foster care. He eventually turned to the streets which consequently led to a lot of bad choices. In turn those bad choices led to youth authority, jail & prison.

There is more to this author than the street-life. He always had a love for writing. In school he excelled in creative writing. He would always live-out the story as he was writing. Through his most difficult times, he used writing as a way to escape from his surroundings.

In additional to writing, he creates poetry, writes songs and does artwork. He loves spending time with family, fishing, sports and helping youth.

He is happy that he is finally able to share his writing with others, putting his passion to work!

so much tragedies grab Kleenex

Even though there’s a few errors I still think the story deserves a 5 stars. Overall, this’s is one of the saddest storyline I ever read. It behooves me to see a group of great intellectuals to come together and build an empire and profit billions of dollars together and turn on each other and kill each other like you were strangers. The betrayal, disloyalty and lack of compassion and love was real. My heartache for all these young lives. And Lawd I don’t understand the street life but how could they do Clark like that, they just stole his life. I would be scared of all these people, they’re all so sneaky, scheming and conniving, I could never trust any of them. And what’s up with all this pillow talking, these men tell these women entirely too much.

Now, I enjoyed books 1 & 2. They were gritty, they were full of action and betrayal. Plus, I love a good shoot out scene. Dekari up the ante with book 3.
Do you want a gangster? Then you want Voorheez. I think Dekari did a good job of developing the characters by giving us some backstory it humanized them. You get some insight into the challenges that were faced just because of the color of their skin. The running them "Black Lives Matter" was well captured and ties directly into the fight for racial equality that still exists today.
As expected there was a lot of action and the potential for an unexpected romance. Batman was a standout character for me as well.
I would recommend this to anyone wanting a well-written view of street life.

Clark finally got his due, but i didn't think Voorheeze would be tbeone to kill him bc he was his brother. I can't wait too read part 4 to c if batman gets caught and if Dok's team and Voorheeze's come together again or be at war with each other

Wth!!! Exceptionally well done.

This one was gangster banging. I didn't see that ending coming. New Jack City is still one of my favorite movies. Voorhees is too gangster. I love Batman's craziness and how he is taking up for those killed by these trifling officers, even if it is wrong.
