A Concise, No Fluff Beginner's Step by Step Guide on How to Reverse Fatty Liver Disease With Diet

Fatty liver disease is a condition that currently affects almost a third of the US population. This is mainly due to excessive alcohol consumption, unhealthy food choices, and sedentary lifestyles. Left unchecked, fatty liver disease can cause damage to the liver and lead to serious medical conditions such as liver fibrosis or scarring, and cirrhosis, which can be fatal.

As of this writing, there are no FDA approved medications for the direct treatment of fatty liver disease. Fortunately, and if diagnosed early, this condition is easily reversible by making changes in the patient’s diet and lifestyle.

That’s where this book can help. It’s written for people who were diagnosed with fatty liver disease and are hoping to eat healthier.

The book starts with important information on the disease and the symptoms that accompany it. A chapter is devoted to listing the foods shown to help with the treatment and reversal of fatty liver disease according to studies. A diet and lifestyle change plan is also included in the book to help the patient in the journey to living healthier.

Cool review and plan for fatty liver

Although I read a lot about the subject, I liked to read this book as a review. For me, it was a good refresher. It is also updated with info that is not quite common, such as the role of coffee in liver disease. This proves it is well researched.

I already knew a lot of the principles in here, like going fir the mediteraneean diet, but I appreciate the recipes and simple strategies to replace bad food / drink options with more healthy ones.

What could be added to the book in a further revision maybe is how to deal with a more on the move lifestyle, because for instance I don’t have time to cook. How to choose what to eat from the shelve... or in a restaurant. And also how maybe some pointers on how to avoid sugar cravings / temptations, because in my ten year old experience with fatty liver a lot of the success in the diet is in motivation; you can have all the knowledge but fail to keep up with plans :)
