Her Hood Knight in Shining Armor

Rate this book
In this explosive love story, you will embark on a journey with a young, timid, beautiful, intelligent, McKenna Johanson. McKenna experiences an excruciating heartbreak, which resulted in her losing herself quickly. Just when she finds the courage to pick up the pieces, she faces another unfortunate event. Closing her eyes tightly, she waited for darkness to finally succumb so she could reunite with person she missed the most. Only to open her eyes, after waiting and nothing happens, to the warmest pair of coal black eyes she would never forget.
The eyes of Jonairo Knight alone captivated every woman he’d encountered. Factor in his dominating character, addictive hood charisma, his intimidating body stature, breathtaking smile, and he left women speechless. None of that mattered, because Jonairo Knight had nothing to smile about since age 15. He’d been faced with nothing but challenges his entire teenage to young adult life, and found himself sinking slowly into a stagnant lifestyle that was nothing to smile about. Until he met the beautiful McKenna Johanson, who somehow snatched the key to his cold heart.
In this unpredictable hood love story, you’ll go through three phases with these characters. They met under unfortunate circumstances, but make the best of their situation. Thinking they’d done all they’ve can for each other, they eventually go their separate ways, only to reunite years later. The sparks still fly but so much has changed. When chaos erupts, secrets will be exposed and the betrayal is too much to bear. Is the love still there? Will they still be able to count on one another despite their differences or has someone changed for the worst?

Great Read

Grabbed my attention from beginning to end and what a ending. Enjoyed the storyline and these characters and I couldn't put it down. Loved that the storyline was so unpredictable and keep me wondering what's happening next....Loved it. McKenna, has endured so much and such a strong and determined woman. Encountering Knight when she'd almost given up and had hit rock bottom. They're just what each other needed. He's was going through just as much. I so loved their unbreakable bond and the love for each other. Melik and Austin just don't know what they've done and karma is definitely coming in the form of the old Knight. After that ending, I can't wait to see how it all unfolds. Great job Khadijah J.

Yeah It's Good!🔥🔥

"That's My Type,That's My Type"! I want a Knight! The writer hits this right out the park. This is what you call the slow burn and when it becomes a roaring fire. I love these two characters, you can see the time that was taken when envisioning the two characters. This was not only entertaining but there is the romance that's beginning to bloom and the love that'll burn for a thousand years. If you are looking for good holiday reading you really need to invest in this story.

I don't know why Monae was running from Knight, when he was all she thought about, and vice versa. Knight may have been young, but he was a man of his word, and two, he was a good man. Why would Monae listen to someone she barely knew, for someone that she'd known for years?! Yyyyyeeeeessssss, time had past, but the good thing, is that Knight never changed. Every since Austin entered Monae's life, he didn't bring anything but drama, and she deserved something that he couldn't give her.

Nairo was as rare as they came. He also loved hard, and he absolutely loved him some Monae. He thought he was doing the right thing, when he sent her off to college, but little did he know, she wouldn't have been the woman that she became, had it not been for him. Nairo wasn't ever happy with anyone, because Nairo always compared them to Monae. I was so happy when they reunited, and now I'm disappointed that Monae treated Nairo like that, but little did she know, he wasn't going down without a fight.

Good read. It’s crazy how Mac went through so much craziness. Thankfully Knight was there to rescue her and they got to meet. Who knew that he’d be saving her in other ways. Can’t wait to see what happens next.

Editing Was Bad ....

The beginning of the book had me .... then after she went off to college. It was a NO for me I skipped through pages because it was to many characters and the editing/grammar was bad. I seen potential in this book, but it was to much that couldn’t keep me interested.

Started it out slow and boring but ended up being so good!!!

O.M.G. Wow... This started out so slow and boring but it actually ended up being very good..
McKenna got on my nerves so many times with her undesicive self. Besides Messsiah, she would have been written off for me. To be so educated, intelligent and smart, she truly acts dumb and stupid. After all of these experiences why can't you just trust your gut and all? After Quawn nothing should surprised you but noooo here we go again and Messiah told you how he didn't like him...huh!! Yes the saying is true "kids know when some one is good or bad"
Janairo tall handsome, a self made man and billionaire is bae all the way 365 days a year 24/7. The only problem was his lack of communication and for all of his connections, not once was he able to locate McKenna? Come on... I mean he knew which school she went and he would have just found out about it if he paid for this service. But it's all good, I guess he was making sure that it was for real for real if it came back to him, and it did... Hopefully not too late but it did.
Few things that I had problem with was the fact that McKenna didn't tell him all and how come he never went to look for her even after they reunited and he found out she only was about 30 minutes away from him. Also, when she was with Quawn, what ever happened to the baby? She did say she was pregnant but nothing else was mentioned. It's safe to assumed she lost it, but how? Miscarriage or is was probably my biggest issues that I have where the author wants to create so much mystery and drama surrounding them, that she forgets to explain what's going on. I truly hope in their finale nothing else gets damaged and changed.

This was an entertaining read. Didn't want to put it down. I instantly bonded with Monae and cared to know how things would turn out for her. Her future was so bright, yet life happens and the unexpected did which caused her to deter off track for a moment. No place to go and no one to turn to, this caused her to cross paths with Janeiro Knight. Janeiro was a young guy who was experiencing his own struggles living out of his car. Determined to earn his way through life the legal way. He enters her life in the knick of time. Without anyone else to lean on, these two decide to collab together to survive this journey called life...I loved how they were each other's inspiration.

I'm about to check out Pt.2 cause it was just that darn good.

That ending!!

Okay, this was a good one! The last chapter or so had my mouth hanging. First off, I really wanted Knight and McKenna to be a thing in the beginning but I like the way their story played out. I don’t think either was really ready
for a relationship at the time. Knight and McKenna both served a purpose in each other’s life and that was to help each other to reach their potential. I like how when McKenna got on her feet she didn’t hesitate to help others and Knight was a boss in his own way. I knew something was strange about Austin and McKenna should have listened to her intuition—now she’s caught in the middle and literally did nothing! I cannot wait to start on part 2!

Pretty decent

Pretty decent read. I liked how the time progressed and we got to see McKenna and janeiro grow up. I had to only rate it 3 stars bc even though it was good there were some parts that were hard to read. This was due to typographical errors, grammatical errors, and poor sentence structure. Even still out wasn’t until the ending that I chose 3 stars. I get that it is a Cliffhanger so it’s supposed to be suspenseful but that last scene from McKenna going home was just confusing. I think I have an idea of what was going on but I had to read it like 3 times to make sure I didn’t miss anything. Overall a good read, interesting story, it just could use a bit of proofreading and editing for clarity.

Omg!

What in the whole hell just happened?! Let me back track. Knight and Mona were perfect for each other. Not dwelling on the fact that they both were dealing with hardships. I was too happy to see them overcome and grow into sensible adults. Man sighhhh Vash was so right. Kids can pick up on vibes we as adults turn a blind eye to. So Austin is fbi.. tech is an informant.. but why are they trying to bring knight down?! I’m so happy to see anetra be sober. I think Mona pregnant from that encounter with knight. Knight really gonna go wild when he finds out. Readyyy for part 2 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

My Review

Ok I'm feeling this book minus the grammatical errors. Mr. Knight seems like a good dude, he has kept his word & been true to McKenna. Has very good intentions it seems. I'm so glad that they ran into each other again. She shouldn't have trusted Austin, or Melik. It's a shame that her friend died but I'm glad that she stepped up & kept her word to take care of Messiah. That little boy is gonna be something else. I'm glad Ms. Anetra got herself 2gether, look how God works. McKenna ends up being the one to help her. It's unfortunate that Knights Dad overdosed. Now what the heck is all this other stuff can't wait to read & find out.

Wow 😔

So Mona was set up by Melik and Austin smh. I can't believe he would stool so low all because he wants to be down with Knight just to see if he's doing anything illegal and she's in the middle of it all and have no clue. I hope Knight helps her because she needs him right now especially finding out that his mom is clean and McKenna is the reason. Everything is falling in and out of place but I have a feeling that everything is going to come together for them. Great read ❤

AMAZING!

This is first of all one of my favorite authors! This book is not different from any others I’ve read from her! I couldn’t stop reading and literally finished in a few hours! The story line is unpredictable and I love that! Every time I think I knew what would happen it didn’t! I’m ready for the next book.

I l ou ve McKenna's heart. She's always down to help any and everybody. Vash came in just when needed and they became sisters. I can't wait for pt.2

Mona and Niero

I loved them together, they had nothing together. Complete strangers blossoming into a beautiful friendship. I wish they would have told each other how they felt, but I get it. I hope whoever is trying to take Knight down through her get there’s. Both of them needs to come clean to each other.
