Buying this book I was shocked! It was bought for a child who was adopted and this is truly problematic, saying that the dog got returned, later it was called horse, it wasn’t taken care off (aka never brushed) and encourages children to ride dogs too, which is clearly unhealthy for the dog. Looking at the cover I assumed it would be a sweet read but gosh I feel bad even giving it to charity!

This is a gorgeous book that shows kids that puppies are not just for Christmas, and they do grow up!
It also shows that you need to be the perfect person for your pup as much as the pup is perfect for you.
