Another very solid Kirby adventure. Since the last one where Metaknight was in the title was mostly a Metaknight story with Kirby as a side character, I was expecting him to be the protagonist this time too, but this is more a story around Metaknight that focuses on how the characters around him see him. Basically Metaknight thinks he's failed to protect someone and tries to start training... really hard, to the point where it starts to become a problem. It's a surprisingly thoughtful dive into a character whose whole deal is to be mysterious and while we still don't know what his exact deal is, we do learn more about his personal code. The reading level is about the same as the other books in the series though the concerted effort I've been putting into grinding grammar on Bunpro did have me catching more of the subtle nuances in certain sentences which felt good.
