Although they may seem like an unlikely pair, when love is in the air and in search of a new host, anything can happen.
Sophee O' Shea is newly single after a long relationship with her bum of a boyfriend Dru ends. Growing up in foster care, she understands and values history, but history was not as kind. After his countless excuses and broken promises she refuses to allow history to make a fool out of her anymore. As she sets out to remove Dru from her life, she runs into the man who doesn't take no for answer.
Deacon Sinclair is not afraid to take exactly what he wants, when he wants, from who he wants. In fact, he wants it all, and that includes Sophee. When he lays eyes on Sophee, he knows that with her by his side the normal life he's dreamed of is on the horizon.
With jealous friends, conniving exes, and his secret on his back, a few things will come and try to halt his plans. Will Deacon be able to steal her heart and have it all? Or Will Sophee be the challenge of a lifetime?

Where to begin the book had me book from the beginning!! Dru smh was something else!! Deacon was bae all day sophee was bae too she didn’t take no mess from the beginning to the end she didn’t play about deacon either!! Them friends lord smh too much!! That plot twist I was like 😲😲!! Read the book you will not be disappointed
I truly enjoyed this book. From the time Deacon and Sophee met, his actions proved how he really felt. Mild suspense, romance and the additional characters drama kept me reading and has me looking forward to tonight's discussion. Great story
This was one of the most sexiest books I have read for a while. Sophee was a strong woman which I loved. Kept me captivated. I would highly recommend this book.
The Queen C. Monet done gave us another one, although it had a different spin on it, it was still a good read.
Deacon & Sophee were the same but still like night and day. She was brought up in foster care, scraping to survive. While he was raised by a loving mom, college educated, talented athlete who had to take a different route once his dreams were shattered. They both wanted unconstitutional love, support, encouragement, appreciation, understanding, loyalty and commitment. But of course the haters are always lurking.
Dru was the typical bum guy, had a girl who supported, nurtured, encouraged and loved him through the good, the bad and ugliest of times and didn't appreciate it. His ego was big for all the wrong reasons and he missed the signs that she was over him.
Ashlynn the "friend" we've all encountered, loves to give us advice tell us what we do and don't deserved. Boom then we get it and she throws shade every chance she gets and tries to sabotage cause she ain't really as happy as she's pretended to be.
Kitty the bitter ex who didn't realize she had a good man until he was loving on the next woman.
The story kept you guessing on what's gonna happen next. I loved the way the story flowed. Definitely a good read.
I enjoyed this book. I love your writing style and how you let each character have a part in the book. It gives the reader a sense of completeness with each character. It is something you don't always get in books you read. It a few books I still wondering about the characters and exactly how they fit in the story.
This book had a great storyline (plot). Although, Dru was a bum he was still her friend that was willing to let her go for her true happiness. Deacon's character along just spoke volumes in so many different ways. They way he fought to just live a normal life again was a page-turner. His love for Sophee and his mother was exemplary.
Overall a great read, I would recommend to a friend.
First book I've read from the author and it was amazing! I loved how attentive and all in Deacon was from the very beginning. I loved how sophee let herself be loved by him and loved him in return. You can definitely have it all! ❤🔥
It was my first time reading for this author , I like it a lot . Kitty was so grimy it didn’t make any sense I like how things turn out for her . Deacon could have been honest from jump , it’s like he was wasn’t being really true to him and her . I like the ending
This was a really good book Deacon was made for Sophie flaws and all. Kitty got exactly what she deserved. Dru was selfish but he owned up to his mistakes. ashlynn was a hater.
Chasity wrote it, so of course it was great. Sophee reminded me of myself in relationships, loving hard while always giving and giving without much in return. I was happy when she had, had enough with that sorry boyfriend of hers. Lol Then there’s Deacon, wanting more out of life and to choose a different path and be a better man. And when the two meet, it was a match made in heaven. Sometimes, you can have it all. Love, trust, friendship, family, and finances! Of course there are roadblocks on the journey to it all (hence the ex/long lost, bitter sister and the hating bestfriend) but love always prevails and I am glad Sophee was strong enough to withstand the obstacles. The part I love most was that Sophee encountered a man total opposite of her ex. For once she could be on the receiving end. Deacon showed her that gentleman did still exist, real men date, and chivalry wasn’t dead. I highly recommend!
I really enjoyed this book. Very well written and the character development was great. I love me some Deacon from the first moment he met Sophee and read her from top to bottom and then asked to take her out. I knew he was a man who didn't hold back and went after what he wanted. Sophee had her own issues from abandonment, to a one sided relationship but what I did like about her was that she refused to continue being a doormat and set out to live her life with new goals in mind. With jealousy rearing its ugly head from so called friends, Sophee and Deacon were each others new beginning and comfort. Sophee was the ultimate ride or die for her man. Overall great book, highly recommend reading .
This book was sooo good! I ought to slap you C. Monet for this one. I was so caught up. This book had my attention from beginning to end. I was talking to the book like a soap opera 😂 wondering why they were playing with my life like it wasn't real. I loved the story line. I loved the characters. I loved the plot. Chile it was a whole good ol story. I want you to continue to write like your life depends on it. Now I need to find me a dang Deacon. The church won't have any of him walking around. Ashlynn would've met the same faith as Kitty though. Eff them all!
I loved this read. Sophie was broken she thought she had love from Dru but you see the way he treated her and all the things he said when they broke up as much as she helped him. And now I see why I have a lot of associated Ashlynn was so jealous of Sophie if she was a true supportive friend she would have supported her no matter what. Good ol Deacon he just had that swag that he knew he was the ish. He wanted Sophie and he got her . The only thing I wish Deacon would have done different was tell Sophie the truth from the beginning . Great read cant wait to see what's next.
Boy, was Deacon a charmer! Upon meeting Sophee, he knew she was special; and p!annex to make her fall in love with him. Sophee, fresh out of a dud relationship, meets this charismatic guy; and is attracted to him. Although they both have their reasons for trying to hold back, the can't. Their attraction was electric! Was disappointed in Deacon for not fessing up, but understood why he hesitated. What a bombshell about Kitty! Who needed her a$$ whooped by the way! True love and happily ever after did prevail. I do wonder how both Deacon and Sophee got off, with the confession? Great story!
Talk about a love story! It was such a thrill reading I Wasn't it All! It was like watching your favorite t.v. show and it's only 30 minutes so pitch a fit.. yeahh that's how I'm feeling right now. I just loved Deacon and Sophee and I want more of them. It was so good I couldn't put it down until I read the words "The End"! Deacon and Sophee were the perfect match. They loved each other without a care in the world or any regrets. One of my favorite parts was when she arrived at the private airstrip and he said "behind you Soph" and the way she ran to him just melted my heart! I felt their love. Wonderful read C. Monet!
I don’t know how to feel about this book. I have read many books and this one seems like the characters were immature, all except Sophee. I feel some things were missing, like EG was ash hating? Why Dakota switch up, did he have sex with Kitty too? Then the bitter ex that can’t let go. Dru owned his mistakes and bowed out gracefully. Deacon knew kitty but history made him overlook her ways. Luckily it worked out, but he seemed new to this. Sophee was the only one in my opinion that was woke with other but her intuition should’ve had her questioning deacon love it not..
Deacon and Sophee’s story was a good one. I was so frustrated with Deacon. He had so many opportunities to tell Sophee the truth and he really never did lol. But, his plan of making Sophee fall in love with him after a few weeks worked. Minus his secret life, Deacon was a great man for Sophee. Deacon showed Sophee what Love was and how she should be treated. Kitty and Ash were so jealous I couldn’t stand it. Kitty went through all of that just to lose her life. I kept thinking, “sis, move on...” I am happy that Sophee and Deacon made up and their love blossomed. Sophee got the family she always wanted. Good read! ❤️
This book was intriguing and it kept my attention. I love Sophee and how she didn't lose herself after Dru messed up, she pressed on and though it was quick with Deacon, she refuse to lose herself! Kitty needed help though she had sad up ringing she lost Deacon and couldn't accept that he had moved on with Sophee. At the end of the day Dru understood why he lost Sophee and board out gracefully, while her so call friend was trash! Deacon had every opportunity to tell Sophee the truth that's the only thing that made me annoyed with him. Sophee was ride or die even when things were revealed! It's a great read and I couldn't put it down
Deacon wanted Sophee the moment that he laid eyes on her and he went after her heart at full force until he received it. I like that he made sure all of her dreams came true and he protected her at all cost even from her own shady sister Kitty. Ashlynn was so envious of Sophee and was sheisty for trying to help bum Dru try to get Sophee back. Deacon should have taken Kitty out when she first made contact with Sophee. I'm glad that Deacon, Sophee, and DJ got their HEA.
Sophee and Deacon were cute together. I wish he would have told her the truth from the beginning but I understood why he didn't want to. Kitty was just a miserable soul and things turned out the way they did for her because she just couldn't move on. Sophee’s ”friend” was no friend at all. Overall I loved the book, so I suggest you read it too, you will not be disappointed.
I thoroughly enjoy this book I could not put it down. Sophee and Deacon I love that they was exactly what each other needed. I also enjoyed the twists and turns that this story took. I must admit that I had no idea where this book was going as I usually don't read the description of certain authors books. I like to be surprised and I must say that I was so good. It definitely was a pleasure reading this book.
I rock with Sophee and Deacon. Sometimes it’s the ones closest to you that try to do you harm. A true friend will never hate on your happiness. I knew Kitty couldn’t just be sisterly and sometimes the hole you dig for others is the one you fall in yourself. Now can I get a trip to the Maldives please? Lol
This book had me like I was a count down to know what happened next. That damn Kitty had it bad and I’m glad she died. And to set up her own new found sister because of envy. I just wish Dakota life was cut short too with his bitch ass. And Mr. Sinclair what a schemer who actually fell in love. This is a good read
Sometimes love is all you need!!!! This book was everything. Deacon is baeeeeeeeee and I loved Sophee and I loved their love for each other. You did the damn thing I loved the twist and plots and that damn Kitty was a damn b*tch. Can’t wait for the next release you’re awesome as usual!!! Please read this book you will not be disappointed!!!
Another banger from this author. I love how organic her love stories are and this one was no different. Sophee is so strong and independent and Deacon comes along and shows her what love real love feels like. I was flipping pages nonstop trying to see how it would all play out
This book was amazing 😉.. I’m so glad that everything work out for the Sinclaire’s.. Love trumped everything and he got his third chance and they finally got their happily ever after .. They wanted it all and got it! the storyline was amazing and the writing was impeccable!
This story was so good. I was hoping that Sophee would agree to go forgive Deacon and go away with him. That Kitty was something else, I guess she knew that Deacon would kill her once he found out she told Sophee what he did for a living.
Sin & Sophie were made for each other. Sin was the example of a thuggish gentleman. Sophie was the sexy librarian. Although Kitty was determined to separate them they both weren’t having it. C. Monet gave us twists and turns along their way to having it all.
