I loved this book. Having spent the last 10 years in Calgary I found this really interesting...maybe just because I know most of the names and places mentioned in this book, but what I found most fascinating is the similarities between the locals then and the locals now. A great book for anyone interested in the history of Calgary, or prairie life in general.

Very well written, interesting and easy to read stories detailing the background of Calgary's first settlers and the start of that great city. Being a Calgarian, it was nice to learn about the people behind many of the Calgary buildings named after them today.
