This isn't so much book about dieting as it is about praying, and as such it was fantastic. The author is eminently readable and offers views of prayer and God that I'd never seen before and that I really connected with. Weight loss is secondary to the prayer aspect of the book and even that could be replaced by any topic...the book could as easily center around any form of addiction or even topics such as stress, financial strain, etc. This is one of those books where I can pick it up, open to any page, and find myself finding inspiration. A great read.

This new age style approach to a Christ-centered lifestyle of weight management has a decidedly different approach, yet not one that is overly different from many belief systems and diet systems. Anderson has a divinity degree, but is not a preacher. His message is particularly useful for those seeking a spiritual/emotional resolution to weight problems; there is not actual diet plan here. The focus is on the heart.
