This is a reprint of a 1916 reading primer illustrated by Rose O' Neill, featuring her beloved Kewpies. It is a great little book which reads quickly because it was intended as a primary school age primer for children.
The illustrations are really cute, but then I have a really soft spot for Kewpies as one of my daughters looked just like a Kewpie when she was about 10 months old.
I have several other books on Kewpies that I should re-read. And a nice selection of 8" Kewpies plus some little figurines.
This book is chockful of stories about Kewpies, Kewpie games, drawings of flying Kewpies and sleeping Kewpies, a Kewpie lullaby, Kewpies being silly and Kewpies marching in a line. What's not to love??
