When the temperature rises to above eighty-five, my iguana is looking like he's coming alive. This storystarted out as the author's most popular poem when he performs in schools. It is full of energy, rhythm, and fun. With the addition of colorful illustrations, it is turned in to the perfect picture book for sharing, reading out loud, or reading alone. The back of the book features a list of facts about iguanas, and hints on performing the poem aloud.

Highly entertaining poetry book. This book would be great for a classroom library to engage the children in poetry. It could be used as an introduction to poetry and better used in KS2 to help engross children. This book could also be read by the teacher and discussed as a class. The illustrations within the book are very humorous and could engage the children further as to which poem to read. These poems could be used as a topic of discussion and used as a template for children to write their own poems.
