Three-Act Comedy based on the original musical comedy "Best Foot Forward" by John Cecil Holm, which was originally produced in 1941 and directed by George Abbott. 10M, 7W.
Set during a boys' prep school dance, comedy ensues when a big-name Hollywood star, invited by one of the boys, actually arrives!
Funny ish, but it's old and kind of faded. I liked it better than the musical. I tried watching it and only made it about ten minutes in. I remember reading about this play from a copy of Reminisce Magazine, in which a lady recollected her high school putting it on. It was too naughty for the teachers, so they rehearsed a trimmed version--then opening night they went right on and said all the lines of the original play! The audience loved it so much they let them keep it!
