Santanna leaves Dallas for New Orleans, determined to put her recent breakup behind her and move on. Her friend Laurel invites her to a delicious new club, where she is introduced to Graham and a new, interesting lifestyle.
Michael follows Santanna, desperate to make things right. When he discovers she's found a new side of herself, he has to decide: Is the new Santanna too much for him, or is he willing to explore with her?
Ivy Black is a new to me author and I happened to come across this on Amazon and picked up a kindle copy. Bourbon Street Heat centre's around the main characters Graham, Michael, Santanna and Laurel.
Laurel introduces Santanna to a whole new side of New Orleans and into the desires of BDSM and one of it's members Graham who helps Santanna explore parts of herself that she couldn't explore with her lover Michael.
Overall I really thought I would enjoy this book but I found it missing something to keep me hooked until the end. The sex scenes were steamy but I just couldn't feel a connection to the characters. Maybe if it had more of a backstory and was longer then maybe I could have.
