In1955, Pauline studied Commercial Art, Life Drawing & Textile Design at King’s University, Newcastle. She attended Newcastle College Of Art And Industrial Design from 1959 to 1961. On emigrating to Canada with her family in 1970, Pauline studied privately with Professor David Anderson, of University Of Victoria. These studies included silk screen printing and drawing.
Pauline Lawson is an artist touched by the spirit of whimsy, who lives in an attic with her cat, Rudi. Gibsons, British Columbia is on the western "sunshine coast" of Canada. In a career spanning 50 years, her creative talent covers a wide variety of styles. Her art hangs in collections in Japan, Holland, Australia, New Zealand, UK, the USA, and Canada, including Vancouver and her hometown Gibsons, BC.
In 2002, she illustrated the book "Circle Of Wisdom - Journey Of The Glastonbury Grandmothers" by Margaret West. Pauline is most proud to be director of murals, in a fundraising project at Camp Goodtimes. It is the Cancer Society's camp, for children with a history of cancer.
