An examination into the life of Bishop Pike, who resorted to seeking out mediums after the death of his son by suicide. This is a warning to Christian’s not to fall for the lie that you can communicate with the deceased. You are not speaking with your lost loved ones… You are communicating with demons who impersonate the dead. The Bible is clear in its denunciation of this abominable practice, and those who were found to be practicing mediumship, sorcery, witchcraft, magic, etc were to be put to death. In this age where occultism is flourishing, it’s important that people be warned about the dangers of falling for the cunning lies of the devil.
I read this in about half an hour. It was a little "Hey, you like occultism? *locks the doors* Great. It ain't Christian just because you slap the label on it." Which I 100% agree with. If it ain't bringing glory to the lord don't do it. Anyway, I'm disappointed this ain't a great book to pass on to my friend. I was hoping more for a priest who'd seen some junk. But this was just criticism of a dead man. A dead man who deserved criticism, but still!
