This book is pretty short, so it’s a fast read even though it packs a punch in regards to the breadth of information offered. I would suggest that you have to be at least a little familiar with the topic otherwise some terms or concepts will be foreign to you and you will have to look them up. Other than that, this is a good book.

This book by Sal Tiano tells of how he became successful as a wealth manager and how you can be as well. Inside, you’ll discover plenty of helpful tips that will show you how to grow your own wealth management business thanks to a process that Tiano calls “structural alpha”. The author will guide you through the various steps in the process and give you plenty of other advice, such as keys for success, how to convert prospects into clients, and how to build and manage a team.

Tiano also includes an interesting introduction that describes how he began his career and why he wants to help others build an impressive resume in wealth management. Unlike similar books that often tediously list what you need to do, Tiano writes with a relatable style that makes reading this book even more enjoyable. The book runs at 211 pages so it will take some time to read, but if you’re looking for some solid wealth management advice, this is definitely one book you’ll want to check out.

Essential read

This book was so eye opening. Sal’s confidence and know-how really shows through strongly through the message in this book. The wording and the ideas that are put across are exactly what I need to start making it big. The mindset that the advice he gives puts me in when I read it makes my brain start to work with many different ideas I didn’t have before. There is so much inspiring content in here that I needed to give me that jumpstart or that kick to get in the groove of things because I want to start my own business. There needs to be a foundation of a certain mindset that ken has to have before you can be successful and I really feel like reading this book put me in that mindset. You can tell that the author has a lot of knowledge and experience in this field. I will be using this book and referencing it a lot to make my decisions to be a successful person in this world.

Sal Tiano sets the foundation of his book, Structural Alpha: Building & Maintaining An Elite Wealth Management Practice, by explaining the driving forces in his early years. His grandfather's gruff voice telling him he needs alligator's skin wasn't far off in this vicious business. You will notice one specific characteristic about this author, he enjoys people and filling a need they have. You finish this book with a connection with the author, like he cares.

What does Structural Alpha mean to the average reader, like me? Reading books like this gives me hope that more wealth management practices will open up and thrive! Look in your towns and you will find about a dozen loan companies to everyone one company helping people to invest. Sal Tiano want to see people on both sides of investment succeeding, how great is that.
