The Moral Minority: Identifying, Analyzing, and Exposing Homophobes

Rate this book
Attitudes towards gays and lesbians have certainly taken a historical turn. What was once considered a popular viewpoint homophobia is now an unpopular prejudice. What was once a moral majority has now become a moral minority.
Chambers examines at length someof the most popular yet controversial myths, columnists, authors, and organizations in order to better understand the root causes of homophobia. He uses logical rebuttals to counter illogical proposals by such household names as Margaret Somerville, David Frum, Stockwell Day, Jerry Falwell, Dr. Laura Schlessinger, Fred Phelps, and a host of others.
Neo-conservatives, evangelicals, and natural-law proponents beware! This book is sure to provoke an emotional response in those who choose to remain in the moral minority!

It gave a very thoughtful insight into gay history in North America from a true ally. I will remember this book for shifting my perspective on reserving my “gayness” infront of some heterosexuals to make them feel comfortable/better about themselves, how to respond to homophobia, and recommended books that further my knowledge of gay history.
