If this is the book I'm thinking of, then it was included as part of a package with Fein's Social Psychology 6th Edition. This was the better part of the package.
The book contains full text printings of important journal articles in the history of social psychology. They are probably most useful when used together with the main textbook, but even on their own they are a great resource. Each article is selected to highlight principles of psychology in light of the corresponding chapters in the main text.
These are actual journal articles, no more and no less. Good resource if you want to familiarize yourself with significant studies and are will to do the reading.
