I'm a big fan of Gareth Knight but I'm not sure exactly what audience this book is intended for.
He starts off with little to no introduction and begins describing practical work. Basic things, and perhaps in the style of the Society of Inner Light? I'm not sure because he does not comment. However, these "basic" things are foundations to ceremonial magic and I feel it is an irresponsible disservice to not discuss these rituals completely. The second half is the bulk of the book, with guided meditations to work with different goddess archetypes, interspersed with some light historical background.
I will probably only use this book for reference on occasion.
