Dr. Strange, Black Panther, Spider-Man, Captain Marvel, Hawkeye, Squirrel Girl and more show off their awesome powers in doubled-up, vibrantly colored, action-packed visuals.
Each hero tells you a bit about themselves, some including about the source of their powers. They also tell you their hobbies and their most notable attributes.
Perfect for any young super hero, though the text is definitely geared toward a higher-Elementary reading-level than anyone below first grade.

So many stupid comments in there. Like the Hulk wannabe saying he's the 8th smartest person in the world? lol...like, how do you even figure that out? And why? Such a stupid brag.

Given the success of the Marvel films in recent years there’s a plethora of Marvel related goods out there including lots of books providing introductions to the Marvel super heroes. This book is another that looks at the Marvel characters (see, for example, "Marvel Avengers Ultimate Character Guide" or "Marvel Avengers The Greatest Heroes: World Book Day 2018") but I would say this is aimed more at young and new readers with only 14 super heroes, super colourful big pictures and not many words on the page.

Indeed DK make great books for kids with full-colour pages that are laid out excellently providing plenty of visual appeal across many of their books and once again this is a well-produced and attractive-looking product. DK are also big on equality I’ve noticed (e.g. see “Marvel Fearless and Fantastic!: Female Super Heroes Save the World”) and here the 14 super heroes are 7 male and 7 female, so the selection is not skewed to just the male heroes.

Each of the 14 profiles contains a couple of paragraphs of introduction to the hero and how they became a hero. Then there a couple of boxes giving some of their hobbies and their traits. The 14 heroes range from the well-known like Captain America and Professor X (leader of the X-Men), to the less well-known like Moon Girl and Brawn. Each profile is across a double page and has a colourful image of the hero (as it is from Marvel you would expect the art to be visually-stunning, and it is, although Marvel-geeks may say that the artwork has been recycled from the archives).

So this may not be the first Marvel super hero collection, it may not be the most comprehensive Marvel super hero collection but it does provide an attractive-looking product for younger kids to flick through perhaps after gaining an interest after seeing one of the films. 4/5.
