I purchased this book because it had a Jo Goodman story in it. It had several other stories that were enjoyable also but one that I had to skip, it was unreadable. The sentence structure was horrible, as though English wasn't the author's first language. It shouldn't have been included with the other stories, although it did make them seem far superior.
The Goodman story was the best of the bunch with Christine Dorsey coming in 2nd, and Katherine Kincaid 3rd. The other three were predictable, too far fetched to be believable and lastly unreadable.
And what was the fascination with half breeds? That grew tiresome after the 2nd such story with an Indian as the male love interest (there are three stories with Indians). It was a bit of an insult to Indian men since they were being portrayed as villains and murderers in the beginning of these stories.
I'd never read any of the authors except Jo Goodman and after reading these stories I don't intend to.
GOOD HEAVENS I JUST REALIZED I READ THIS BOOK TWICE IN THE SAME MONTH! IT WAS JUST AS BAD THE SECOND TIME!
