This book made a very clear (and I believe correct) case for the reason(s) behind addictive behavior. I read portions during the months that I took his class and then read the book from cover to cover after the class was over. I enjoyed reading it as I could imagine hearing David share these thoughts and stories with the class. I believe the book is best accompanied by personally hearing or knowing Mr. Eckman.

This book takes you on a spiritual journey, addressing any kind of addiction or compulsion, not just sex or food. I already know that it's the best book I've ever read on this topic...I'm only part way though the book.

The chapter on Paul's explanation on addictions is very insightful. I really like that chapter.
