Abby has emerged as a far deeper character, in this Revised edition of the 2007 novel. Her mother, Vivian, is less a one-dimensional antagonist, especially in the later chapters of the story and the Erdeans are presented with their fallibility, as Abby's own doubts and negativity return to the fore, at the end of her visit. All told, this revision has emerged as a deeper character study and more complete vision of the Golden Age to come, in the not-too-distant future.
The addenda, particularly the segments on illustrated charts, present an intriguing set of artistic exercises that would lend themselves well to any Children's Class.

I thoroughly enjoyed this novel. It was a real eye-opener for me. I loved that the author included different cultures and explained what these cultures were and how they differ from others. I loved the imagery this book offers. The details are so vast that I could picture what Abby looked like, the settings, and every piece of the action. I really enjoyed that this book was fast-paced but not too fast. I was still able to follow the storyline and be able to gather information. I was very shocked at the ending during the time travel. I think that including this really sets the novel apart from others. In the beginning, it is a very familial novel but, towards the end, it turns fantasy-based, and I loved every ounce. I think that Abby could be a role model for many younger readers. Children can look up to her and aspire to never judge someone by their race, religion, culture, etc. It can show children they do not have to agree with what their parents believe in. I think that kids today really follow in their parent’s footsteps with topics and, Abby could be the character that breaks that.

Overall, this was a feel-good story. It made me happy that Abby was able to experience happiness with such a cold mother. I think the conflict with the mother and daughter was perfectly done. The rivalry was not too much but it still showed the disconnect between the two. I think that the age range for this book is perfect. However, it can really touch adults that read the book.

I personally rate this book 5/5 stars and would definitely recommend you picking this up if you want to overall feel good.

I must say that I wasn’t expecting it to be so deep and shall I say, meaty, in its information and thought-provoking content. What a delightful surprise!

Abby is a delight and her journey one of great depth. She really had a huge immersion into the Most Great Peace. And for her to return and realize that although her time’s Baha’i community was not yet developed, that it was up to her to help create the utopia which was to come... that was a masterful conclusion.

Of course, I loved the exploration of the Parelli horse training methods and that tied in so well with the main focus on the future of a Baha’i world.

I find it very uplifting! So very glad you reached out to me and that I had the opportunity to read it. Even your references were great to read.

Are you as sick of dystopian novels as I am? With their bleak depictions of human nature and of humankind’s future? Abby Wize presents a very different picture of where we’re headed. A perfect world? No. But one that can and will be achieved if we embrace the teachings of God for this day and work to turn them into reality.
