Dixon (Courting Chaos #4) takes four rockstar band members and writes their own love ballad. Character's cross over from the previous books in this rockstar world.
As the last single guy in the band Dixon, everyone teases him about his dream girl. I loved how Dixon has evolved since the beginning of this series.
Barrett is the newest character of this series and brings a sassy attitude with her.
Character building is well assured.
I enjoyed the kinetics of the character's as well as the past friendships & new ones that were created.
This is a light read with not too much melodrama/angst.
I love how it ended. A perfect epilogue with a integral ending to bring to a close of this rockstar series.
A romantic love ballad with a rockstar motif that gives you all the right vibes.

Barrett is 22 and still working as a bartender her best friend Paige finished college at 18 and went to nursing school while Barrett was still in college and now Barrett lives with Paige but she can barely pay half the rent, her friend Paige is the caretaker of a wealthy woman who’s son is Booker Chaos from Courting Chaos and Barrett was jealous but happy for her friend. Now Barrett has a job interview but no decent clothes to wear so Paige lends her some and that’s why Barrett believes that’s why she hadn’t got a decent job because she had no nice clothes but she needs to get this job and she did as a PA working for Lawson who manages Courting Chaos. Barrett couldn’t believe her luck she was going on tour with the band and her best friend Paige will be there, Paige is in love with Booker from the band so she will be going with them. Dixon is happy to be on the road again he doesn’t form relationships with women because he would have to leave them behind but now all of the guys in the band brought their girls with them, Bellamy, Indie and Paige were wanting to set Dixon up with a woman and Dixon said it’s never going to happen well I guess he didn’t count on Barrett coming into the picture. I loved this story actually the whole series it was great to see how the guys fell in love so if you’re a fan of reading about rockstars bands etc then this whole series is for you. Fantastic story and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

I absolutely love this band and getting to go on your behind the scenes us a dream come true.

Dixon cracked me up with his "never going to happen to me" line. Then the girls literally tell him about his dream woman and she shows up.

Barrett is a career woman without the experience until she gets an opportunity that changes her life, become PR for Courting Chaos. Not only that but her childhood friend is dating a band mate. Barrett has her fears, she wants to prove to herself she can do the job and be independent. But her attraction to Dixon was a distraction she didn't see coming. Dixon impressed me, he didn't see the changes that happened to him but he definitely felt them. I agreed with the band "will they or won't they"?

Such a cute story with not too much drama because these two cause their own. Love the story, the characters, the band and how fate worked out.

We finally get to see what’s going on in Dixon’s head – it’s an odd place, be warned. He’s the band’s joker but there’s also a wide streak of protector in there too. Barrett’s never felt fully in control of her life and she’s never had a comfortable sense of stability thanks to a childhood “in the system”. Odd that touring with Courting Chaos could give her both of those. I loved this book so much. I have adored every second I’ve spent getting to know these characters. They feel like a part of my family now. The guys are exactly like the brothers I never want, and the girls are the sisters I never had. In between wanting to cuddle Dixon and Barrett close, telling them everything would be alright and wanting to smack some sense into both their stubborn heads, this zany group had me nearly crying with laughter. I’m absolutely distraught that this series is over now.

Of course I loved "Dixon" by Heather Young - Nichols. This whole series has been great and this book is just a continuation of a great story line and fabulous writing that brings these rock star characters and the women who love them to life.
The series is very entertaining and each book leaves you wanting more. I'll be curious what comes next for this series....

Wild Ride of EXCITEMENT!
Engaging and enjoyable read that at times I had a hard time putting down. The chemistry was sexy and incredibly intense from one chapter to the next always keep me guessing throughout the unbearable twisted suspense. A great read that I enjoyed and gladly recommend.

Overall I liked this book. I will admit Barrett wasn't always my favorite person. It was nice to see Dixon finally find a woman. Especially since the other members all had found love. They had some issues to deal with but luckily in the end they got their happy ending.

This was a really good story, sweet and romantic. Dixon is the lead guitar player of Courting Chaos and he’s sexy, handsome and swears love is not for him. He liked his rockstar lifestyle and was not about to give it up. In walks Barrett as the new assistant to their manager and it was just sweet. She looks like a sexy librarian and when his eyes locked on to hers it was on! This story worked, they were all friends and I loved the interaction of the guys with each other and their girlfriends.

Chaos over

This was the last book in the Courting Chaos series and I enjoyed every single one! Kinda sad that there's no more, bc every single one of these guys are hot and sexy 🔥 although Ransom has to be my favorite... Bellamy and Dixon were perfect for each other and was so happy she found and got everything she needed with him!

Interesting end to the series

Dixon, the randiest of the guys in the band, falls for the new PA for Lawson.
He fell pretty hard and pretty fast. Funny, actually, as she’s very cautious and recalcitrant.

Great book

Well written with characters that grow throughout the book and the series. There are some sex scenes but they enhance rather than try to take over the plot. Would recommend to anyone that enjoys steamy contemporary romance.

I loved Dixon and Barrett's story.
Barrett didn't have a good childhood, and now in her adult life she wants to prove to herself that she is capable of a better life. When she is hired as PA of Courting Chaos, she's very happy to know that she will not be alone, since her best friend is also on tour because she is one of the band members' girlfriend.
Dixon always said that love would not happen to him, but he didn't expect to meet Barret. The attraction between them is immediate, but both didn't expect the "distraction" that it would be.
I loved the story, the characters and being able to see the other members of the band again. I recommend the reading.

I love Heather Young-Nichols romance books, and the Courting Chaos series is no exception. In DIXON, we meet Barrett and get to know Dixon, the lead guitarist for the band, Courting Chaos. Barrett is trying to make a name for herself and follow her career dreams after a rough childhood. Dixon is dealing with his bandmates and their girlfriends on tour. Once he meets Barrett, he starts thinking it's time for him to maybe follow his bandmates' lead and stop being such a stereotypical rock star.

I enjoyed watching Barrett and Dixon fall for each other, while navigating her position as the band's assistant, PR person, and the personalities on tour. Ms. Young-Nichols writes steamy scenes and cute dialogue that keeps me turning the pages and wanting more.

If you enjoy contemporary, rock star romances, new adult, and guys that have heart, the Courting Chaos series, and DIXON are for you!

This series is amazing, and speaks to romance readers young and old (I'm 66 and love it). I've included this author in one of my top 12 whenever I'm selecting my next books to read. I highly recommend this book and series to anyone who loves to read romance, joy, humor, depth, and people.

You can never make a second first impression. How do you make up for such a blunder of a first impression? That is the exact question on Dixon’s mind after he makes a colossal mistake when he first meets Barrett. I loved watching him try to prove to her who he is at heart. Loved watching Barret and Dixon evolve and seeing their feelings grow.

This is a great series. I love the interactions between all the characters. I read so many books that at times it’s difficult with all the series to keep track of who is with who, what happened in their journey to love, the relationships between everyone, but I can honestly say I have not had that problem with this series at all. Something with this group sticks with me. Almost like they are a part of my life, part of my group I keep close. To me, that says a lot about the writing, the character development, the authors ability to bring her characters to life. I’m so sad this is the end of the series. I can guarantee this series is on my must-read-again list.

Barrett grew up with a mother that didn’t care about her. She spent her teenage years in and out of foster care. Her best friend Paige was spending time on tour with her boyfriend. When Barrett was offered a job as an assistant to a touring band, she was excited to learn she would now be spending time with her friend instead of being alone.
Dixon plays guitar in a band and constantly gets harassed about not having a girlfriend. His band mates all have significant others and they start to give him a hard time about not having a special someone. He meets Barrett, thinking the girls have sent her to play games with him. He soon realizes that’s not the case.
For the next few months, they spend time together and Dixon develops strong feelings for Barrett. She doesn’t want the relationship due to the fear of losing her job.
I loved this story. Dixon never gave up on winning Barrett over, but she didn’t make it easy on him. Great happy ending!

Dixon sees Barrett and knows she is what he wants and he slowly breaches her defenses until she lets him in. Will her relationship with Dixon set her back on her career path? Can they make it work?

This is a great story that will captivate you from beginning to end. The chemistry between them is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

This book is awesome! It’s basically a continuation of the previous three books, but focused on Dixon Dodge, lead guitarist for the Courting Chaos band. While focusing on Dixon, it also tells the story of Barrett Powell, the personal assistant to Lawson, the band’s manager. I fell in love with Dixon right away, he’s gorgeous, smart and passionate and the other girlfriends of the band think he “needs” a woman. I also fell in love with Barrett and her back story! Overall a fun and sexy romantic read!

So all his friends have paired off and so have hers. Seems inevitable that something clicks with these two from the moment he slaps her ass hello. A total misunderstanding and the first day of her new job and they're definitely off to an interesting start. Both fighting the initial chemistry, Dixon gets hooked and sees her shutting him down as a challenge. She's interested, who wouldn't be? Totally conflicted she doesn't want to jeopardize her new job but finally sees it's useless to resist. A fun read and peek into the rockstar's tour and how a slow burn with these two won't die.

This is Book 4 of the Courting Chaos Series by this author. This last installment features the romance between lead guitarist Dixon and recent college graduate Barrett. It is a simple love story with enough drama and love, plus engaging secondary characters to keep the reader interested. Overall, it is an easy read with a good dose of heart, heat, and a happy ending. A good series conclusion. While this can be read as a standalone, the books in the series are interconnected so I recommend reading the other books to enhance your reading experience.

Barrett needs a job after graduating college and has no luck finding it. Her best friend (Paige) is on tour with her boyfriends (Booker) band Courting Chaos. When she interviews with a PR agency she lands a job as a PA with an impressive salary only to find its for Courting Chaos’s manager. This book has laughs starting with Barrett and Dixon’s first meeting and continuing through when the rest of the band and their girlfriends interact, I love the fact that these books are all stand-alone but the characters are all a big part of each story.

This was my first time reading a book by this author and it was awesome! It was a romantic entertaining read with great characters. The story, word and character building were fabulous, you could see the story playing out in front of you. It brought the rock stars and their women to life. It's a must read for any fan of Heather Young-Nichols and I can't wait for more form this author!!!

Barrett and Dixon are just what I needed. I loved this series, especially because we get to see other characters and catch up with them. Dixon and Barrett start off not wanting to be in each other's orbit but the attraction is hard to fight and their chemistry makes it inevitable. I couldn't get enough and had a hard time putting the book down.
