After fifteen years and far too many combat tours to remember, Matthew Barrett is finished. Medically retired from the SEAL Teams for multiple medical and psychological conditions, he wallows in self-pity, spiraling down until suicide seems the only relief form his anguish. Then a text from a former team mate asking Matt to help find his kidnapped daughter changes everything. Aided by a team of ex-SEALs, ex-fighter pilots, and a former FBI agent, Matt will follow his quest to its end, deep into the ugly world of human trafficking and perhaps even a shot at a new life.

Book Review - In Book 3 of M.L. Strong’s Strike Force Series, “The Brotherhood,” Navy SEAL Matt Barrett decides to call it quits after fifteen years and far too many combat tours to remember. Medically retired from the SEAL Teams for multiple medical and psychological conditions, Barrett wallows in self-pity, spiraling down into a deep dark hole of suicide until a former SEAL team member asks him to help find his kidnapped daughter. Aided by a team of former-SEALs, ex-fighter pilots, and a former FBI agent, Barrett follows his quest to help his former teammate into the deep, dark, ugly world of human trafficking. This is were the action begins! This was an exhilarating read! Strong takes the reader on an emotional rollercoaster ride of psychology, bravery and camaraderie. The ups and downs and twist and turns lead me to commit to the rest of this series - a total of four books so far. I have read Books 1 and 3 and will pick up Books 2 and 4 and look forward to reading and reviewing. Anytime a Navy SEAL is involved in a thriller story, there is bound to be some action. The Brotherhood has plenty of it and for good reason as well! I love how Strong told an exciting story of former military and law enforcement coming together to tackle probably one of the worst criminal activities in the world. Very worthwhile read!
