Elkan’s had over 25 years to be angry about being abandoned by his mate. How long will forgiveness take?
Joey ran away with nothing more but the memories of what could’ve been. He needed to protect his sister, and he’d do it again. That doesn’t mean it was easy.
Now, by chance, they find each other again and have to decide if they can make it work this second time around. They need to figure it out pretty quickly too, because like always, life continues on and their help is needed.
People are being attacked and if they work together, with the help of their pack and their family, they just might be able to save lives.
In the end they might discover that this is how fate always meant it to be and that even through all the pain, it was worth the wait.
this is amazing.. i have read book 1 but you don't technically have to read book 1 to understand book 2. it was wonderfully written and enjoyable.. it made me smile and happy. it was sexy and fun.. it was well worth the wait for this book to come out and i cannot wait to see what happens with these characters in more books! loved it
Worth the Wait is the second book in the Hidden Pack series by author Maggie Decker. I loved this story. Was perfect and made me fall in love with a new to me series. This story doesn’t have to be read in order to get this story at all. There are time jumps in this story, but I found them necessary to the overall storyline. Joseph or Joey: his parents drank, a lot. He loved the local doc as a kid cause the man gave him hugs. He knew his parents didn’t love them. And he knew he had to protect his younger sister from the abuse. He moves away from the pack in order to protect her. Years later the pack Alpha wants him to move back and help a young man who had gone through what he did as a kid. He does. Elkan he wants his mate. He has been searching for him. Now that he has found him he is going to do whatever it takes to keep him. He is Alpha by nature. And he is dominate. He has a mission and he is not going to stop till he achieves his goals. I loved these two together. They are kinda unlikely mates but they are the ying and yang to each other. They both need what the other can give them. I love that. I cannot wait for more from this series in the future.
Worth The Wait by Maggie Decker is the second book in their fantastic Hidden Pack series. This is a paranormal shifter series that has suspense, magic, Mild BDSM, True Mates, and steam. It is told through multiple POV from the main characters but also other characters we meet or know... this works well to give the reader multiple sides of the story for event occurring and insight into the world created here from multiple sources. I personally love it and feel like I am able to imagine the world and characters better because of it. So much is going on that I am so excited about continuing the series inbooks to follow.
As for this one we learn some interesting things that got me super excited for event that may follow. The over arching plot moves along and the main romance of this book, Elkan and Joey, is so sweet and sexy. I felt for them that they were separated for so long but second chance romances are great and Imglad I got to read this one. It definitely was, as the title says, Worth the wait!
This is a first read for the author with this book. A good start as Joseph (aka later as Joey) knew who his mate was early in his years but his life was communicated with protecting his sister. As I read some of the story lost me but questions where answered the further I'd read.. Ohh I loved when Elkan steps into the story. A re-connection was hot after years and years. BDSM scenes, aged gap to a mystery of a stabbings included. Told with multiple POVs with others included within the series. I felt the anguish for Elkan, and for Joey for what they had to do from earlier on. This was a great paranormal book with different beings included and more than one romance starting
Emotional read with good characters who need to decide if they will take the opportunity of a second chance at love provided by fate. I have not read the first book, and I felt a little cheated in not knowing all the characters. However, the book was engaging and kept me interested throughout. I am interested so see where the over-arching storyline goes.
I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving this honest review.
I really enjoyed this book. I didn’t read the first one, so I was a little behind on a few things. However I didn’t feel totally lost or anything. I will be reading book one though. My favorite characters were Joey and Elkan. I loved how they found each other after so long. There were so many wonderful characters to follow
I liked this storyline it was fun and interesting. This is book two in the series and was a good addition. The storyline does continue into the next book. Great adventure.
It just keeps getting better and better. We finally get some answers to some things yet there are more questions too. What I love most is how deep and complex this series is with so many layers to each sets of mates. I can’t wait to read the next book.
This was a great introduction to this series. An interesting world filled with intriguing characters. Told from multiple P.O.V'S, I really enjoyed getting all the different characters stance.
Not really sure what the book was really about, it seemed like a bunch of stories mixed together. Certain aspects were good but as a whole, not so much
