Phyllis Ott is the artist in residence and beloved icon at the Meher Spiritual Center in Myrtle Beach, SC. She met Meher Baba in India in 1964 where he received her with love and kindness. Phyllis' life has been a varied one. She graduated Cum Laude from Harvard, with majors in Architecture and Philosophy, studied with the renowned abstract expressionist, Hans Hoffman, and went on a lifelong spiritual quest for the source of the Self. This biography offers never before seen insights and facts about Norman Mailer, who was married to Phyllis' sister, Bea and later became Phyllis' lover. As Phyllis sought out her spiritual quest, she and her third husband, noted artist Lynfield Ott, forged their path together that led them to India, to the feet of the renowned spiritual master, Meher Baba. Because of their long and devoted relationship with Meher Baba, she and her family became the only people to reside at Meher Baba's American ashram, the Meher Spiritual Center in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Phyllis still lives at the Center, painting, traveling, and entertaining hundreds of visitors each year.
