It is easy to read and understand cause it's quite short biography's summary.
In the past, all of Japanese leaders were from noble family, but Hideyoshi was not. He had no power; no money; no army. How he became a great leader?
There are good and bad personalities in all human, and so do Hideyoshi. What I've learned from this book: Try to listen and ask other opinions more before giving your own thoughts with insights and ideas. This will make you loved and respected. Being outstanding will be a threat cause no one wants to see you stand out. Knowing when to speak and using the right words in the right time is the best way to get what you want. Words are master when spoken. You must be hard like a rock; must be stand firm like an oak whereas you should be soft like a cloud and be able to bend in the wind like bamboo too. Learning something new all the time will bring you the success all around. Your words and your actions are both important to motivate your people. And remember that humans' heart are alway changing; be prepared, be ready, be careful. However, once you find those who loyalty without expecting anything in return, which is hard to do, keep them with your heart and be there for them as well. Honesty is a kind of gratitude that bring prosperity to life in some ways.
