Não sou grande apreciador de comics, especialmente os dedicados a super ou anti heróis. No entanto, quando se abordam estes temas de super e anti heróis numa perspectiva mais adulta, podem surgir boas histórias. Parece ser o caso desta Harleen, sobre quem ficamos a conhecer as origens. A inserção da personagem num universo já bastante explorado e em que pululam já tantas personagens conhecidas, é feita pelo autor de forma exímia.
O traço de Šejić é moderno e bastante apelativo.
No fundo, vale a pena ler esta história, mesmo para quem não delira com histórias de super ou anti heróis.

I've been seeing this cover and being curious about this for a long time now, but I never gave in and bought it, so when it came to the store, I immediately knew this was gonna be my next read on my breaks... and just thoughts...
On one hand, this is a really good book on the origin of Harley Queen, it hits all the right beats, with her being a psychiatrist at Arkham and the introduction to the Joker, and honestly I should have no complains...
On another hand, this is really not the Harley I want to read about anymore... I want the loud, and colorful, and funny Harley from the animated showHarley Quinn, or from Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) or even the New 52 Comic Series. The Harley here just doesn't work for me anymore...
This is still an honest good book if you're into the darker Harley, the well know Joker's Harley...

I've been wanting to read this for a while now. I've only heard good things about this work.

This is part 1 of 2 volumes. It's basically the origin story of Harley Quinn.

But it's much more than that. It's a well written story with a perfect artwork to go with it.

Stjepan Šejić really understands the characters presented here. This is the Joker I love to see. A guy that has a strong presence, a presence that leaves you unease, a speech that makes you understand him, even though you know he is crazy as a wrench.

I love some jokes presented in this book. It really made me chuckle hard.

It's a great origin story and a great story within the Batman's universe.

100% recommended!
