Book 3 in the Ray Mitchell Action Thrillers Series!
Mafia lowlife Tommy Abrocci wants two things: to disappear into the FBI's witness protection program, and to do so with as much of Milwaukee mob boss Vincenzo Romano's money as he can steal.
Unfortunately for Abrocci, Romano has no intention of letting a traitor get away with his money...or his life.
But when Abrocci decides to celebrate his heist by hooking up with a high-priced call girl who is pulling one last trick in order to save her son from a notorious drug dealer, a botched murder attempt gets the attention of the FBI who is desperate to find their wayward snitch.
One thing rapidly becomes clear: bullets fly, blood flows and no one is safe when you are...Killing The Rat.

This is the third book in this series. Ray Mitchell doesn’t show up until the end of the story but it doesn’t take away from this fabulous read. Of the three books this is my favorite. This was one heck of a crazy roller coaster ride! The cast of characters are wild. There are good guys and bad guys and really bad guys. This story has so many twists and turns it will make your head spin! But sit back and enjoy this wild and crazy ride. You will never know what comes next. I would love to see this in a movie form.....it’s that good! I highly recommend this book.
I have to say. This was my first book by this author but won't be my last. The story flowed well and kept me engaged the entire time. I love the writing style forcing the reader to keep up with events happening simultaneously at different locations. A lot can happen in 24 hours as evident by this thriller.
Good one! Tommy Abrocci is caught by the FBI in a sting and offered to rat on his boss, Vincenzo Romano, or go to jail Guess which one he picks! But Tommy has other ideas. He's going to rip off his boss and disappear. But things don't go according to his plan. A lot of complications upset his plan. A good story with interesting characters and a few twists.
Having read several of Ames' books, I do believe this is the best so far. I love the idea of a bad guy who has a bit of good in him. This book gave me THAT guy. And what's more, it's the kind of book I could read again, in time.
Mafia thriller that starts out at a steady pace but then picks and leaves you wondering what can possibly happen next. There's plenty of twists and turns, a dirty FBI agent, and more than one killer. Have to say I didn't see the twist at the very end. Loved this story.
I know when I start a Dan Ames book that I'll be glued to it until the end. Killing the Rat is another great read with the same high standard of writing I now expect from this author. Thank you, Dan.
