The Abattoir

Rate this book
We all live in our own worlds, some big some small, no matter how we try not to we do effect the worlds of others. Sometimes the decisions we take make an insignificant difference to other people’s worlds, like letting a car out into a queue of traffic, other times a major incident could ripple out and affect other people’s innocent worlds. In this story I have taken four worlds where a decision to murder in one has a dramatic effect on other apparently unconnected ones. Tony Evans, a young man fresh out from National service returns to his original employer only to be made redundant. He uses the knowledge he gained in the Army to become an entrepreneur in mobile communications. His company expands and so does his world, which becomes innocently caught in the ripples emanating from another.Geoffrey Hearn is a cars salesman whose world suffers the deliberate action from someone else’s. The ramifications of that deliberate action has a dramatic effect on his home as well as his business life and triggers a reaction that although he thought it was under his control ended up effecting other innocent worlds.David and Hilary Grimstone are owners of a small but struggling abattoir. They are a childless couple and David takes under his wing a young lad called Tony Green. Tony has not had the best start in life and the offer by David of an apprenticeship helps to turn his life around. Unfortunately David has got involved in another and darker world which begins to create disturbances in his where the innocent suffer. The local police led by DS Maurice Hepplewhite find themselves involved in the interlinking ripples emanating from other’s worlds in their struggle to find a solution to a suspected murder or could it be two?As I mentioned earlier no matter how much we try not to affect other worlds they do get touched upon as happens in this story but they are of little or no consequence and therefore have not been further explored.
