Chameleons of Codington

Rate this book
The town of Codington portrayed perfection itself, well laid out and planned to create a sense of gentry for all members of the community, the rich and not-so-well-off. Set amongst rolling hills, quaint shopping areas and well-planned homes, the town-planners thought of everything, everything except the behavior of the residents. When the first Mrs. Nolan died in a hit-and-run accident, the town gossips started up a lively rumor mill, but soon lost interest in speculation. The second Mrs. Nolan came along and fit in well with Thom Nolan's expectations for his family. His two girls had been raised to not be noticed so their chameleon-like natures kept talk to a minimum. Now, with another family member dead, ancient rumors were given new life. The Nolan family lifestyles were once again fodder for the town gossips. But they weren't the only ones with secrets and reasons to camouflage themselves. Transgender friend, Chris, was living a lie while learning a truth. The business partner, friends of the family, and even the detectives have reasons to keep their personal lives underground. When do these secrets go from intrigue to danger? Finding truth among so many chameleons is going to take time and talent and a willingness to open up personal stories.
